Massive hang on touchdown is FS2020

Featured Replies

Hi folks,

I'm just wondering if anyone else has started getting this - suddenly, I'm getting a massive hang (not even stutters) on touchdown; so far this is in the FSL321 NEO and the Fenix A320. I have perfect FPS the rest of the time. This has only just started very recently. Could it be GSX? Has anyone else noticed it?

I had the same problem appear recently; it went away after disabling GSX. It's a new issue so I assume it will be fixed.

I also had it start happening recently.  Not sure what changed.

In the aircraft.cfg file, find the SERVICES section and set everything to zero except the jetways.  The loading of any of those selected ground services happens right at touchdown--that's what causes the stutter.

Unfortunately, you have to go through and do that for each of your aircraft.

Head over to the fsdreamteam gsx forum, there is a thread. People are suggesting going back to version 5.5.6, I also have this stutter. I'm doing my first flight with 5.5.6 as we speak, hopefully it will go away.

GSX caused, 5.5.6 fixes it.

And how to get back to 5.5.6?

There is a link to the offline installer in the thread on the gsx forum. I can confirm stutter went away when reverting back to this version

I must not be very good, I couldn't find the link except for this one: https://www.fsdreamteam.com/forum/index.php/topic,26826.0.html which installs v3.5.8.
If a forum member could provide the link, that would be great. Thanks in advance.

Umberto talks about 3.5.6 not 5.5.6 but also says that is the production build so if you are up to date you should be on 3.5.6?  Where is 5.5.6?

So, if you are on Beta, and you see 3.5.6, you are actually in release, and that's how's supposed to be, until we'll open a new beta.

I had this problem yesterday. Thanks for the workaround!

13600KF - AIO - 32GB DDR4 - RTX4070 - UW1440p GSync - USB DAC - 2TB NVMe - Windows 11 Pro - Gladiator NXT EVO - 1 Gbps Fiber  - MSFS 2024

Im on the current version, but disabling asobo ground vehicles fixed the stutters for me.

Im debating going back to the most stable version and re-enabling ground vehicles because i miss the pushback tugs for AI traffic and ground crew.

Apparently they are backporting FS2024 improvements into the new sim 😞

7800X3D | 2x32 GB DDR5-6000 CL32 | RTX 5080 | Alienware OLED 34" | 1 Gbps fiber

I updated last week and saw this.  Have they fixed it yet ?

flightsim101, you are not allowed to critise gsx or umberto. Its been that way for over 10 years.
