July 14, 2025Jul 14 Yes, you right click in the TFDI installer to set the install location. I only found that by chance.... Belinda - YBBN

July 14, 2025Jul 14 I am not following how the right click on the installer shows the path for the install. Is there another step? Cheers, Pete Pete Solov - Lake in the Hills 3CK and Schaumburg Regional 06CProud AOPA Member - PPL 2001Real World Piper Cherokee Pilot

LOL When I run installer I press begin, then I enter registration and continue by pressing next. Right click doesn't offer me change at any point. I only get notified that no simulator compatible found. Again I don't have 2020 installed - only 2024. I have not found a way to install MD11 yet in stand alone 2024. I'm wondering if it will stop the wasm freezes I get since I copied it over myself. It goes for a while and then the instruments and screens stop working. Rick D http://g5flyer.tumblr.com/
October 30, 2025Oct 30 I just bought the MD-11 to try and use for MSFS2024, but obviously saying I don’t have a compatible simulator when running the installer. Is there any work around for this?

October 30, 2025Oct 30 I personally would expect it no earlier than Q1-Q2 next year for the 2024 version. There's still the model update that's been, what, a year in the making that has not released.

Is there any work around for this? It's a palaver but install a bare bones 2020 and install the MD11. Then just copy the files into your 2024 community folder. Then delete the 2020 installation. Or don't if you think there's a risk of another 2020 update. The plane works flawlessly in 2024.
October 30, 2025Oct 30 It's really not that of a big deal... 1-install the initial msfs2020 2-start the install of the packages of msfs2020, hit pause after, let's say 3gb, close msfs2020 install 3-start the MD11 installer 4-right click on the msfs box and choose your msfs2024 community folder, install (it's even described in the installer) 5-enjoy the not supported md-11 in msfs2024 6-deinstall the started but not finished msfs2020 install Took me about 3 minutes total...sorry bragging...about 5 minutes 😎 McDan out Edited October 30, 2025Oct 30 by McDaniel
