TFDI MD-11 updated

Featured Replies

Yes, you right click in the TFDI installer to set the install location. I only found that by chance....

$5 USD, the price of an actual cup of coffee at Starbucks in the US. Good on TFDI for a reasonable upgrade fee to MSFS 2024.

  • Hi all, we're happy to announce that the long-awaited Art, FS2024, and Extended Sim update for the MD-11 will release on 12JAN26 at 1600 GMT. We'll be here in Discord to chat and address anything

Well, $5 here is closer to the price of two coffees😝 After that, only three planes left before I can remove MSFS2020, but all of them are default.

No way! Does that really work?! And to think I'd kept a detailed note of the arduous install process.

Really? Right click does nothing for me! I have only 2024 installed and install manager show me only one message "no simulator compatible with the TFDi design MD-11 were found"

I am not following how the right click on the installer shows the path for the install. Is there another step?

Same, I am not seeing anywhere to change the install path.

I can't  install at all neither before no after! LOL When I run installer I press begin, then I enter  registration and continue by pressing next. Right click doesn't offer me change at any point. I only get notified that no simulator compatible found. Again I don't have 2020 installed - only 2024. I have not found a way to install MD11 yet in stand alone 2024.

Can anyone report on the updated airplane? How is it?

Right, anyone have the full steps? I'm wondering if it will stop the wasm freezes I get since I copied it over myself. It goes for a while and then the instruments and screens stop working.

I just bought the MD-11 to try and use for MSFS2024, but obviously saying I don’t have a compatible simulator when running the installer. Is there any work around for this?

They should release 2024 version soon. I also have 2020 version I didn't find a way to install under 2024.

I personally would expect it no earlier than Q1-Q2 next year for the 2024 version. There's still the model update that's been, what, a year in the making that has not released.

It's a palaver but install a bare bones 2020 and install the MD11. Then just copy the files into your 2024 community folder. Then delete the 2020 installation. Or don't if you think there's a risk of another 2020 update. The plane works flawlessly in 2024.

It's really not that of a big deal...

1-install the initial msfs2020

2-start the install of the packages of msfs2020, hit pause after, let's say 3gb, close msfs2020 install

3-start the MD11 installer

4-right click on the msfs box and choose your msfs2024 community folder, install (it's even described in the installer)

5-enjoy the not supported md-11 in msfs2024

6-deinstall the started but not finished msfs2020 install

Took me about 3 minutes total...sorry bragging...about 5 minutes 😎
