If this product can add haze to the atmosphere, then I'd likely purchase it.

Can not believe MS2020 and 24 still can not simulate haze. It's outrageous!

You really cannot believe it? It’s about what’s flashy for Asobo, not about accuracy…

  • I like REX.  I just don't know though on those 2 shots... the one on the bottom looks really edited on my monitor.  Maybe its because I dont use HDR and only run at 1440p. I think the atmosphere

  • What would be nice is if it changed dynamically. I don't know if it's possible, but back in the days of REX on P3D I changed the sky color at dawn during the day as well as the sunset so as not to hav

  • That's an odd Before/After comparison they show on their site...the 'Before' pic (default MSFS) actually looks more realistic and pleasing to my eyes....

I am waaaaaayyy late to the party on this one but just purchased Atmos for MS20 last week. Using Lupo Enhanced Realism presets for all 3. It does work very nicely and for sure adds much more realism to the sim. I plan on moving to MS24 after SU4 so will for sure get this again.

As an aside, for anyone still on MS20 and using Lupo presets for Atmos, what are the date stamps you are seeing for them? In the public downloads, people have made spinoffs and cheekily have kept the same naming convention. I want to make sure I am using the original ones.

Anyone have any news on a possible release date for this?

Maybe REX are waiting for the finished SU3 release to drop.

I hope REX can add default settings of their own this time based on how they think things should look.

Yeah, I regularly see excellent haze in live weather. I just think it’s only metar based (?) so you get pockets of it.

I can't figure out why people report no haze in LW.  I see it, very variable in spots.  The other day out of SCEL major haze settled in over that entire basin.

That's fairly subjective.  I've had great realism in both sims.  I think generally speaking XP12 can be slightly more realistic.

Exactly.  Operative words:  'subjective', and 'slightly'.  Every time I read claims that XP12's is even more than slightly better I write it off as absolute BS.

That is one thing that XP has down pat, haze, it's everywhere. Always looks like one is flying in smog.

They say it’s supposed to come out today (Tuesday August 26th) though early reviews aren’t that promising, reporting a lack of a one and done solution (unlike their 2020 version, and some other downgrades from that version… ) also seems to be missing the ”promised” sepia night mask remover feature which many were looking forward to…

Myself I’m gonna hold off until I see how it goes with most people…

Summary :

- REX Atmos for 2020 did a better job.

- Settings for day are not so good for dusk/dawn/night

- multiple settings have a great effect by only moving them slightly. Min/max Fe over the top then

- You hace to save your settings under Weather Presets

I will surely buy it, but really hope that we can use one selfmade Preset forall times of the day.

Perhaps someone from REX could chime in and yell us what to expect at release and near future development.

Oof, some of these examples aren't that great. It did make a big difference back in 2020 but I feel like all of the reasons why I was using it back then are addressed with 2024. And to Easyjetsimpilot's point around the default being too dark, with the EV slider that can now be corrected.

I'd love crisper clouds and a bit more haze in some cases, but it just makes sense for that to come from Asobo at this point. Jorg did mention they were planning to take a look at the weather system post SU4.

I'll stick with re-shade.  2024 skies are beautiful as is.

Dear god please make weather back to pre SU5 2020 levels! That was the best back then!
