July 30, 2025Jul 30 Is there a way to stay with su15 even when su16 comes alive? For the moment, msfs2020 as for me now is absolutely amazing and stunning! And i am afraid that su16 (might) "mess up" my, in my opinion, perfekt sim as is of today... Best regards Per

July 30, 2025Jul 30 New to this? Updates for MSFS have always been mandatory once they are released and there never was a way to circumvent that.
July 30, 2025Jul 30 Look on the bright side. At least you can refuse the "upgrade" to MSFS 2024 Christopher Low AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU / 64GB DDR5-6000 RAM / 12GB Nvidia RTX 4070 Super GPU / Gigabyte X870E Aorus Elite Wifi 7 / 1+2TB Samsung Evo Plus M2 Nvme UK2000 Beta Tester

Oh it will, but in subtle ways that won't be immediately apparent. But it's all part of the fun. 😂 The World is divided into two groups. July 30, 2025Jul 30 I haven’t heard of any major issues with the SU16 beta. But I’m not constantly in the beta forums because I don’t have 2020 installed Edited July 30, 2025Jul 30 by Tuskin38

But I also use XP12, and once you spend some time setting it up and really getting to know it, it shines in areas like flight dynamics, weather realism, and lighting. It takes more tweaking, but the payoff is worth it. Both sims have their strengths, and I enjoy them for different reasons. July 30, 2025Jul 30 Best suck it up. It's almost certain to be the last SU for 2020, give or take a hotfix. Edited July 30, 2025Jul 30 by St Mawgan 9950X3D - X870E Aorus Master- TUF 5090 OC - 64GB DDR5 - 1500W HXi - Titan 360 RX LCD - 9100 Pro x 2 - LG 45GX950A - HOTAS Warthog with Ava Base

It’s worth noting that the Map Enhancement tool in MSFS may no longer support high-res textures, whereas in XP12 it still does. XP12 does require some free addons to boost its default scenery, but combined with its strong flight dynamics and weather model, it’s a solid alternative, especially if SU16 ends up reducing texture quality. I use both sims to get the best of both worlds.
