August 30, 2025Aug 30 Looks like the BlueBird Simulations 757 will come to MSFS 2024 either on release, or shortly after release: Quote We wanted to do a “quick” update since several people have recently been asking us for some news. Since the Expo, A LOT of progress has been made but I don’t want to break my own rule of not making any more release predictions. What I will say is that we are planning just two more video updates on our YT channel before release of this plane. The first of the two will come in Q4 of this year. It will go over more systems in depth such as pneumatics, FMS, landing gear, ice and rain, oxygen, doors and others. I will say that the pneumatics system is absolutely amazing and goes to a new level of detail. I’ve listed the features of the pneumatics in one of the screen shots. LNAV and VNAV is about 70% complete in total and progressing very nicely. Other systems like the doors and oxygen system have also been simulated to a very high level. So far we have 153 working circuit breakers and counting on our way to over 200 by release. But again, we’ll go more in depth on the systems in the next update video. We’ve also begun some more testing in FS2024. In fact all of the FS screen shots here are from FS2024. These are still very much a WIP in 2024. We are really hopeful to have a compatible ( not Native ) version for 2024 available either on release or very shortly after release. As for beta, we are approaching the first stage finally in the next few weeks. The key holdup was the pneumatic system which took much longer than expected but well worth the effort. We are rigorously testing all of our systems before we even get it to the beta testers. While that was being worked on, several systems that actually are part of the second stage of beta were being worked on/completed as well such as doors, oxygen and landing gear. The biggest remaining item system- wise is the EFB which we will cover in our final update video before release. And just to recap on the pricing, for $80 USD you are entitled to the 757-200/300 RR and PW for both MSFS2020 and 2024 (2024 compatible version initially with native version to come much much later after release). Finally, yes this will come out before GTA6 … oh I kind of broke my own rule there. Edited August 30, 2025Aug 30 by abrams_tank i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM
August 30, 2025Aug 30 Reading between the lines it looks like release will be Q1 / Q2 2026. Getting this from the two videos before release comment. If the first one is due Q4 2025, makes sense the next one would be Q1ish, with release at some point after.
August 30, 2025Aug 30 I'm glad they are taking their time. Time and time again, the "half finished" planes I purchase never get much use. 5800X3D, 4090FE, 64GB DDR4 3600C16, Gigabyte X570S MB, EVO 970 M.2's, Alienware 3821DW and 2 22" monitors, Corsair RM1000x PSU, 360MM MSI MEG, MFG Crosswind, T16000M Stick, Boeing TCA Yoke/Throttle, Skalarki MCDU and FCU, Logitech Radio Panel/Switch Panel, Spad.Next

I am so glad this team had skin thick enough to ignore all the comments thrown their way about release dates. Whether it's on AVSIM, Facebook, YouTube, Reddit, or Asobo Forums, almost every comment is critical of the team for taking their time. I'm sure it sucks pouring so much time into this project only to get hate whenever you show off your work. Kudos to them for ignoring us and doing it right the first time. Take-offs are optional, landings are mandatory. The only time you have too much fuel is when you're on fire. To make a small fortune in aviation you must start with a large fortune. There's nothing less important than the runway behind you and the altitude above you. It's better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air, than in the air wishing you were on the ground.

ONLY 200 circuit breakers? give me a breaker. how dare they! the 737 has over 500 circuit breakers. must be the tiny x-box version then. August 31, 2025Aug 31 Kinda shocked that in 2025, they aren't simply releasing this for FS2024 and then worrying about getting it to work in 2020.
August 31, 2025Aug 31 Probably because converting a product based on 2020 code to 2024 is a lot easier than the other way around. At least, that is what I have heard. It’s because they are in development hell unfortunately, they are stuck having feature creep and it’s a vicious cycle… that’s my belief. Will definitely buy day one but how many years worth of resources can they blow through making no money before it’s abandoned completely? Only BB can tell…

Gotta love simmers sometimes because truly they don’t know what they want. You have some developer that isn’t communicative and rushes things out the door and simmers cry wolf that companies are greedy for rushing things and wishes they could refund. Then we have other devs that are communicative about their aims, trying to do things right (the first time) and they’re “taking too long”, “must be in development hell”, “is it abandoned?”. I am with @WestAir on this one that BB stuck to their aims. Only thing differently is I wouldn’t communicate, clearly in the long run it doesn’t serve a lot of benefit.

I would have waited to communicate much much later in the process. IF there was scope/feature creep, then at some point you gotta stop and move forward. Either way, I’ll be buying day one and I’m glad the level of detail in this product is where it is. I have other hobbies anyways to keep me busying. I think from a marketing perspective they had to make some sort of announcement that a B757 was forthcoming...recall that PMDG was also toying a B757 release a few years ago (or whenever...I seem to lose track of time!) 🙂 If nothing more than to let potential competitors know that there will be a "study level" B757 incoming. The periodic updates are more to then acknowledge that this is not an "abandonware" project...and keep a potential rival "at bay". The quality of work demonstrated in the updates has been incredible...including the opening post of this thread. There are always going to be critics...there is no win for a developer...unless at the end of their hard work, sales don't meet expectation...I don't think that'll be the case with this release...whenever it's ready...it's ready... Being a former "type A" personality...yeah...I, too, would have liked to have had this YESTERDAY! More importantly, I'd much rather have a high quality, full(er) systems, near-zero bug aircraft to enjoy for the long run...after 35+ years of flight-simming...I've bought more than my fair share of "sub-prime" add-ons! 🙂

Thank you for replying to my post. The Flightsim market is special like you alluded to. If one doesn’t secure interest for a specific plane as a developer, i guess someone else could swoop in, take the market for said plane and then the developer who didn’t beat them could in theory lose sales. It’s interesting. good talk! FAA: ATP-ME, 737 CA, enough time in the 757/767 to be dangerous 🤠 Matt Kubanda, 7950X3D, 64GB RAM, RTX 5090@4k, MSFS 2024
September 3, 2025Sep 3 Probably won’t see this until summer 2026. Long wait but I’ll snap it up day 1. Eric
