Co pilot character changes randomly MSFS2024

Featured Replies

Is it just me, or is anyone else having their co pilot character change randomly?  Sometimes the co pilot even disappears altogether.

Actuallly, I'm not massively keen on the character oprions and would like to create one or two of my own - how easy, or difficult is that?

There are a few on flightsim.to but not really the types I am looking for.

Seems like it's only me then.

It is happening to me too. I don't fly with a copilot. But now they suddenly and randomly appear. (EDIT: In 2024). Back in 2020, I used an app (I think by BlackSquare) that made the copilot a small cat. Because Whiskers did not block the view out the window.

Just bumping the topic to testify that I'm recently getting the same issue in MSFS2024 on Steam.

In the VL-3 for example, each time I set some weight on the passenger side, I get a random passenger, not matching my copilot choice in the "customize identity" menu. And if I set the weight back to zero to make it disappear, then set it again to a weight like 150-170, a new random character appears.

And right now, I'm even getting a bug in the EFB that only one seat appears....

I have emptied my community folder, but it had no effect.

I've long got rid of the co-pilot. Now I don't have to cope with the shock of having the cadaver sitting in the right hand seat undergoing a gender reassignment on finals.

I would never fly with a co-pilot or any passengers. It really is the best and quickest way to make your simulator look like a game.

Plus, it's my aircraft and I want to fly on my own, wherever I want, whenever I want and however I want, thank you. Go away.

Lol. I look at it this way; we have some absolutely fantastic, photo realistic modelling of exteriors and interiors - to the highest detail. Why go and ruin in by placing poorly modelled members of the undead into this?

🤣🤣🤣 Nice!

Surely not everybody was kung fu fighting.

Is it not just realistic to fly with different co-pilots on flights? Co-pilots must learn the ropes under different captains.

I'm more bothered by the fact that the player avatar CANNOT have a beard, but your co-pilot, several passengers, and a lot of the SAR NPCS are rocking glorious mountain man beards.

But yeah, also confirming the surprise co-pilot changes on my end

Another thing the Phenom does right unlike the HJET - I always get the COPILOT configured in MSFS. Also her lips move when speaking to ATC. 😊

I tried to give my copilot a fair crack of the whip....... but I find he's just never quite where I need him.
