Can anyone comment on the daytime gauge and cockpit lighting? Has it improved in any way?

just want to confirm something.  I use addon linker to manage my community folder.  Assume if I make no changes then this new update will not change anything?  IE, if I don't use this new folder then nothing will change.  I also don't really use marketplace for anything if that matters.

That's correct.

Anybody tried the Maddog yet?

So I had a bit of free time so I remoted into my PC and signed up to the beta.

For context I have state-saving enabled (turnaround mode). Loaded into EFHK with it and everything returned back to the state I left it in. Immersive Audio sounds seemed to have worked as-well (Based on a few button presses). This was all preliminary though, I didn't start engines or the APU. However, GPU was connected, IRS aligned, EFB was working so from an early glance it looks like it does work. So good news there. When I find more time I'll attempt a full flight in VR (I did this quick test just on my monitor).

On a side-note GSX seems to be unable to read jetway information, so can't operate them, though looking at discord this seems to be well reported. So will wait on that.

AutoFPS of course doesn't work (that's expected) - Scratch that I spoke too soon seems like their on on it

So I'll just await the test build to be published.

Didn't get to try BATC and it's traffic injection either but will when I do my full VR test flight, more important, measure performance (in VR, on 2D its fine) cause that's be the worse part right now with FS24 so I'm eager to to see all these optimisations!

thanks @Lucky38i

I guess GSX not working isn't that bad since we can do a power back with the MD-80!

"Both sims allow you to specify the location of your Community folder. Point both to the folder called “Community”."

With such instructions, many users will just throw everything they have in one folder and point both sims to it.

This line outlines the problem, this fix aims to rectify that, you now have a separately named folder for FS24 but FS24 will still scan both folders.

GSX still works, it just can't operate the jetways but yes of course, haha, we can do a powerback

So what about the users that have only MSFS 2024 , there is no reason to have 2 separate community folders.

Is dynamic registration working?  (The ability to enter your own custom callsign/registration number on the side of the plane?)

Then you do nothing and you won't have 2 seperate folders if you only have FS24 installed.

It literally says

This is for players who have both MSFS (2020) and MSFS 2024 installed on the same PC and don’t want to duplicate the same mods in two different Community folders, one for 2020 and one for 2024.

I implore people to read the quote in full.

Did you enter a callsign within the sim (customization tab when you select your aircraft) AND did you enable it via the efb tablet when in the TBM?
