I only have bought a few PMDG products over the years.  But I will buy the 737-700 again when it arrives for 2024.

Someday I wish they'd do their Falcon 50.  I guess we'll have the Contrail version for now.

Oh, interesting picture, but there are so many discrepancies. Out of curiosity, do you know where it's from? For sure, it's not on a real flight. It brings back memory flashes.

747 Captain for the last 39 years, and still learning.

I have spent hundreds with PMDG over the years (don’t really want to think about the total lol) so I do mostly love their products…

but I swear real Boeing engineers probably read these updates and walk away thinking it’s more complex to add sound or build an EFB than to do the actual plane. Randazzo (and I say this with affection, not derision) really does waffle on and on and it’s always someone else’s fault.. but then the team does eventually deliver a solid product so it’s all good.

warning though - they are no longer the no 1 dev in many peoples eyes, and that is an unfamiliar place for them … kinda like Apple with Apple AI.

Very interesting choice for the 100.

If my memory serves me well, I believe PMDG also intend to make the 742 after the 741,(On the 747-100 Classic Whale side of the hangar, the 747-100 model (which will serve as an initial basis for the 747-200 and 747SP that will come later) the 100 will bring some fond memories, but the 200 was very popular and successful thanks to its range and better engines.

Whoo-hoo! I don't follow PMDG so didn't know about this but am now very much looking forward to getting this if it ever shows up. Not a great fan of tubes but rather fond of this beast.

Have zero interest in a 747-100, sigh... the 400 actually flies a lot yet, all those cargo operators, its THAT which would be useful. XP12 has the Felis (a 742) and I already never fly that.... Having the quality that they did for the 400 in FSX would be SO nice.  😞

That's PMDG's strategy. It keeps you waiting while it sells its products.

First strategy: It launched the DC-6 for MSFS2020 while everyone was waiting for the B737-800. Meanwhile, it sold very well.

It launched the B737-700 while everyone was waiting for the 800.

For MSFS 2024, it made the B777 compatible while everyone was waiting for the B737-800.

It will likely launch the B747-100 while everyone is waiting for the B737-800 for MSFS24 and awaiting the B747-400. And so it continues to sell its products. Is it wrong? I don't think so. This is a marketing strategy.
