This one is a known issue and the something to do with the key being used for Pause at TOD.  Best way to get around that particular issue is to not use pause at TOD.  You should have no sound issues after that.  

The other issue is to ensue if you do not have a full 3.1, 5.1 or 7.1 sound system that you have stereo sounds selected otherwise you will miss a lot of the center channel sounds...

I guess there are people who spend a lot of the time outside the aircraft, but I spend 99% in the flight deck. I think I'll wait to see what PMDG eventually come up with.

Totally fair. I also think that soundpacks are best for people who like to do stuff like video editing or switching to outside view in certain phases of flight.

I found that I do that virtually never. I clould probably fly aircraft in a default livery and not care much, because I don't see the outside after the walk around.

 

But for those that like to use the flight recorder and review phases of flight from outside, those sounds are a must, I figure.

For those of you who are interested, the 777 Sound Package is RELEASED.

Bought the pack, and what a difference. It really adds to the immersion.

Amazing sound pack.  Just FYI, Boris is aware of the Cabin Chatter not working.

To get all three you have to purchase the ultimate for 15 bucks right ? Because it just looks like the ge soundset is installed when i look in the community folder.

Are these sounds played automatically (instead of the original PMDG 777F sounds) after installation? They seem to be stored in a separate folder without the old files being overwritten.

I set orbx to put them in the folder that addon linker monitors. Once installed there i ran addon linker to recognize the files and then it basically took over the pmdg default sounds after that. Or you can drop them straight in the actual community folder.. it should work that way as well. 

It has been installed in the Community folder. It's just that I had assumed that it would overwrite the existing files in the PMDG 777F Sound folder, but maybe it only does that when the simulator is running?

That’s not necessary anymore, modern sound packs just have a sound.xml that makes itself higher on the priority list thus the default sounds essentially get ignored.

I know that those GE90s have a distinctive howl, but that howl sounds a lot more like a "whine" from the VC on my PC. I assume that this is correct, but I am curious to know what others think. At least I now have touchdown sounds!!
