With THAT rig?? 😉 In all seriousness, I thought I saw a couple of stutters that were new departing KEWR but as we know MSFS performance can vary with weather, server load etc etc so I can't say personally. At cruise for the past 9 hours and performance seems fine. I think I saw one post on Discord about performance and sounds cutting out so it's definitely not a prevalent topic... October 12, 2025Oct 12 I have completed several more test flights now with this audio pack installed, and I am still not convinced that the "whine" that I hear from the VC is accurate. It is always difficult to compare sounds in the simulator to those that can be heard in YouTube cockpit videos, but I am not hearing any kind of "whine" in the latter.... Ok I'll offer some refs 4:15 on power up - Here - Here - You can even hear it over the guy talking If that's the whine you meant, it's one of the avionics fans, and they have their own logic which pmdg seemed to have simulated, that's why you hear it come on and off sometimes.
October 12, 2025Oct 12 Hmm, the whine that I am hearing seems to be associated with the engines, but I could be wrong. I am virtually certain that it is not the same as the whine that I can hear in that first video above. However, I will check again. It is worth noting here that overall I am very pleased with this sound upgrade. The switch "click" sounds are more audible, and I finally have touchdown and rollout sounds!! October 12, 2025Oct 12 Paid product or not I just wanted to thank Boris for his work. Still getting used to some sounds and getting near instant support on Discord but overall this is really top notch work! Thank you Boris, incredibly immersive sounds that really enhance the overall experience. The tires spinning after liftoff amongst other things really made me smile when I heard them... Well done and thank you again! Edited October 12, 2025Oct 12 by psolk Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk

If you want to send me an email ([email protected]) or a discord message with a video of what you're hearing, I'll certainly take a listen and send references of what I based it on 🙂 and thank you for your kind words!

Well done and thank you again! Indeed! I'm usually in doubt, when installing sound/audio packs for addons. But this time, the difference was so immense, that I was immediately sure, that it was working. Thank you, Boris for your dedication and hard work! Absolutely amazing soundpack. Highly recommended! Thank you. Best regards,--Anders Bermann-- ____________________Scandinavian VAPilot-ID: SAS2471
October 12, 2025Oct 12 I really wish Boris could update his C172 to 2024 because it sounds like the default version has a lawnmower engine rather than a Lycoming (whatever were Asobo thinking here?) October 13, 2025Oct 13 No performance issues whatsoever, working really well for me and a great addition to the sim!
October 13, 2025Oct 13 Is there anything else one needs to do other than install from the Orbx app to make these sounds work. I can see the XBAW777 folder in the Community folder, but just in the cockpit alone, am not hearing anything different. Button clicks are still silent - MSFS2024 Edited October 13, 2025Oct 13 by ErichB
October 13, 2025Oct 13 It should just work, as the Boris package sounds will be prioritised over the PMDG sounds. Christopher Low AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU / 64GB DDR5-6000 RAM / 12GB Nvidia RTX 4070 Super GPU / Gigabyte X870E Aorus Elite Wifi 7 / 1+2TB Samsung Evo Plus M2 Nvme UK2000 Beta Tester
