Yep it's been a long wait but at least they managed them before Beta ends (which looks close now), I wonder if this one in particular actually fixes the massive regression fiasco of SU7 4 years ago as MSFS2020 toolbar apps were affected by Asobos incompetence with that god forsaken update and are still broken to this day, I'll check at the weekend;
- Fixed the EFB was not accessible in VR when there was a cockpit screen behind

Pico Neo3 Link VR - Windows 11 64bit, Gigabyte Z590 Aorus Elite Mobo, i7-10700KF CPU, Gigabyte RX 9070 XT OC 16gb (AMD GPU), 32gig Corsair 3600mhz RAM, SSD x2 + M.2 SSD 1tb x1

Saitek X45 HOTAS - Saitek Pro Rudder Pedals - Logitech Flight Yoke - Homemade 3 Button & 8-directional Joystick Box, SNES Controller (used as a Button Box - Additional USB Numpad (used as a Button Box)

Certainly feels like we're getting close to release...

ok, ok, I admit, no inibuilds airliner, no EGLL, no traffic ...... but none of that is what I need in MSFS or required in my real world flying either. 😀

very nice.

Happy Asobo fixed this regression: Fixed a regression where the sim will hang when zooming in and trying to load into airports with a high Terrain Level of Detail Setting in the Northern US but not this one:

Since SU2/SU3, the drone camera collides with the building meshes, making it impossible to enter terminals — the camera is pushed up to the roof or blocked outside.

This feels like a regression, because exploring interiors with the drone was possible before, and was a nice feature for immersion and for checking scenery quality-annoyingly not fixed yet.

Wow, couldn't wait for the SU4 release. By you estimate, how much is the % VR fps increase in SU4?

At my end. 9900x3d and 5090 rtx 64gb Ram it is 20% at most areas. But often more.

Example

Eddf Aerosoft and 777pmdg. With AI traffic sliders half (roughly 50 to 75 AI planes) it was roughly 45 fps max now 55 to 60. CRZ above Europe it was 50 now easels 65 to 70.

A ~20% increase is quite impressive.

Right now with my FOV clipped Pimax Crystal Light using OXR Toolkit, I get mostly around 45fps in SU3, often dip to 40fps. Bringing it up to solidly over 50fps would be great.

Yep SU4 has seen a big improvement for VR users performance and smoothness, good timing for my new GPU arriving tomorrow  it's good enough currently on my 3070ti if that's any indication.

This update borked Foveated Rendering for VR users. I had to turn it off which dropped FPS significantly. It makes the clouds wobble and flicker. I’m glad to see they are working on VR and hopefully they get it sorted quickly. But gotta admit, I’m quite surprised they introduced these VR changes so late in the Beta. I sure hope this doesn’t get released in this state. I know it’s not an issue just impacting me:

This sea of purple is starting to get annoying.

not "for users" in general, perhaps just with DYNAMIC (eye tracking) foveated rendering ON? my Pimax Crystal Light supports only FIXED foveated rendering and I have not observed the cloud wobbling that you describe. can you try fixed vs. dynamic foveated?

but glad they finally introduced FOVEATED rendering in VR at all (DYNAMIC FOVEATED rendering is max. resolution only in a small area where the eye is currently looking, vs. FIXED foveated, a small  fixed area around the screen center) to enhance fps even further.

I don't use OXR nor HDR, which was reported to cause problems.
