November 30, 2025Nov 30 I just bought a new pc this week off Amazon. Got a 9800x3d with Geforce 5070TI for £1900. Its a lot but my old pc was a 9700k Geforce 2070, which I bought in 2019 for £1500 so felt it was time. That ran 2020 okay but I had to dial down traffic and some of the setting like resolution. Going to upgrade to 2024 on the new PC. There are a couple of other games coming out next year I want to play as well. If this lasts 6 years as well it works out at £300 a year, which is quite cheap really when a takeaway costs £35. I gave my old computer to my son so that £1500 cost is still paying itself off!
