  • Most likely not. On my modest 2nd (test) system (5800x / 3060Ti 8GB / 64GB DDR4) FS24 runs MUCH better than FS 20 did. 50 fps natively @1440p with mostly high settings are easily achieveable. With LSF

RAM prices are also increasing by a ton because of AI datacentres buying them all up.

I've tapped out of this BS.

My rig is 4 years old with upgrades along the way. To get a similar mid/high end water-cooled build now it's the price of a small car.  I don't know what has happened.

See, they built a computer that I want but it was going to cost me $4,000.00.  I just can't find myself spending that much money on a new computer...especially when computers become outdated rather quickly.

I also priced a custom build.  That was $5,000 - not sure why the extra $1,000 when I included the same hardware and that was WITH a $750 "black Friday" discount.

I just bought a new pc this week off Amazon. Got a 9800x3d with Geforce 5070TI for £1900. Its a lot but my old pc was a 9700k Geforce 2070, which I bought in 2019 for £1500 so felt it was time. That ran 2020 okay but I had to dial down traffic and some of the setting like resolution.

Going to upgrade to 2024 on the new PC. There are a couple of other games coming out next year I want to play as well. If this lasts 6 years as well it works out at £300 a year, which is quite cheap really when a takeaway costs £35. I gave my old computer to my son so that £1500 cost is still paying itself off!

I think that's an excellent choice!

NZXT has an AMD 9800x3d / 5070ti / 64gb for $2500.

The 3060ti is 4 years on and is still holding up well to MSFS.

Did you already purchase this?  You really want a card with 16GB minimum going forward.
