Of course, you get: 1 Aircraft carrier ($300,000 per day) 5 F/A-18E/F Super Hornets ($40,000 per hour per aircraft) 10 Hellfire missiles ($125,000 each) Mission objective is to destroy: 1 60 ft high speed fishing boat with 11 occupants Secondary objective spend less than $6Million to complete the mission successfully. Tell ya, really hard mission 😆 EDIT: Not to worry if you fail, you get 20 attempts for $120M ... a real bargain. A good capabilities analogue to Seahawk capabilities, etc all grossly oversimplified and diluted vs IRL, of course, but still quite illustrative of the challenges faced.

Factual basis, no comments on the politics of it, seems ok to me. (The reference to something that happened - no comment on the appropriateness of the events themselves or otherwise!) I think we can probably agree the reference was oblique dark humour and not a political comments itself? I took it that way anyway! Dang, guess we better not discuss AI, any sort of Power source, definitely not weather, or Boeing, or ATC, or … is that your mission? Are you the official political content decision maker for AVSIM? December 4, 2025Dec 4 Topic I work extensively with the unreal engine. Pro: I can mod, map et cetera. Easy to port from one engine to UE. It looks nice. Cons: It is a beast of instability. A line of code can wreck an entire map, reboot a server et cetera. From a dev point of view it is more headache than sticking with legacy code. So to my mind it boils down to this: Is LM looking to expand market share or are they done with selling to the flightsim market?

In fairness to LM, I don't think they ever said their parallel sim products would be available to the general public. E.g., we need to keep in mind that Fuse is NOT P3D v7, and that we haven't really gotten any news at all from them in re their consumer/public plans. The biggest issue, IMHO, is that the 3rd Party Devs seem to have utterly abandoned Prepar3D. AFAIK, only the Majestic Q400 and the VRS Super Bug are still in active development or supported even for P3D v6, right? Are there others, like perhaps FSL, or ...? In any case, even P3D v6 isn't in good shape in that regard (I'm still in v5 since that's where the majority of my addons still work).
December 5, 2025Dec 5 I just can't be bothered to change now at my stage in life. X-plane has a completely different Control system (not FSX like) and I don't want to learn that. My PMDG 747 QOTSII works well in P3D v5 and I am not going elsewhere, with all the costs involved.
