January 15Jan 15 I've always preferred TAA over DLSS because of ghosting. But now I'm going to give DLSS 4.5x a try. I have a good system (incl. RTX 5090) but I'm still not convinced. What in-sim settings would be the best for a G-synced monitor (max 175 Hz)? - Harry 9800x3D (Strix x870e-E) - 64GB RAM (DDR5 6000, CL 30) - RTX 5090, 34'' 1440p OLED HDR - Windows 11 Pro (1TB M.2) - MSFS 2024 (MS Store, 4TB M.2).
January 15Jan 15 My G Sync monitor is set to 60 mhz as 60 FPS is more than sufficient for me. I cap at 60 FPS on the NVCP and 30 FPS in the sim which gives me a smooth 60 FPS using DLAA and 2X FRG with my RTX5080 ( The same as I found best with my old RTX3080). Ryzen 5800X3D, Nvidia RTX5080 - 32 Gig DDR4 RAM, 1TB & 2 TB NVME drives - Windows 11 64 bit MSFS 2024 Premium Deluxe Edition Resolution 2560 x 1440 (32 inch curved monitor)

The perfect settings for 5080 at 2k and 4k. I tried cap 100 FPS with Riva Tuner, 100mhz monitor refresh, DLAA preset K with 4x Multi frame generation in 4k resolution, 5080 is a monster, i can fly Fenix a320 in every situations and payware airports without problem in MSFS2020

I actually found that these settings were also best with my old 3080 using the framegen mod (which I obviously don't need any more with my 5080). I've tried a lot of other settings and always seem to come back to these. Too bad, because far background looks amazing with DLSS+DLAA. 10 hours ago, B777ER said: This might help with ghosting: Thanks for the video. As I feared: no matter how stable is your frametime, it needs to be at or below 17 ms (for a 60 Hz monitor). Unfortunately, at 1080p, my condition is main-thread limited (despite having LODs at just 100), and there's no way I can reach 60 native FPS while flying complex airliners to main hubs. So, until technology changes (either by allowing my 5700X3D to reach these 60 native FPS or DLSS being finally able to prevent ghosting), I'm forced to stay with TAA. That or going back to the old FSX days with 30-Hz monitors... There are a couple of addon airports where I get close to maxing out and some freeware photo scenery can do the same, but it's very rare for me, even though I have pretty much everything on ultra. It would be nice to have the extra VRAM of the 5090, but I really can't justify the expense. I should have got it with my new PC, but thought I could get away with the 5080. Boy, was I wrong. I'm going to get AMDs 24gb card. It runs MSFS just fine, especially for a grand. Jeff D.
