I need to get the MD-11 as well. I might cut back on shopping today to subsidize it.

One of the best planes out there for sure. An amazing simulation, lots of soul. Just be careful to be on top of things specially while landing

Really nice to see as the premium version was always a poor performer. I might bring it out the shed again at some point.

I think i need to add the A340 as well. It is only money.

only for 24 version....yawn.

You really expect further updates for a platform that has been replaced over a year ago?

Performance is better for sure. My biggest disappointment and I know this is trivial for many, but the landing sounds in the 2020 version are significantly better over the 2024 version and I was really hoping this update would cure that.

In the 2020 version, after touchdown it sounds like the plane is alive. You can hear the tires over the runway surface. In 2024, they’re still missing. Here’s a great video reference:

I love this plane.  Agree the sounds are poor all around.  Though the external engine sounds are good.  They also still haven't properly allowed their MCDU to display on 3rd party hardware.

Nice update, I was surprisingly rusty on my first flight.  It’s just old school enough to lull you into a false sense of security but then punish you for flying it like a more modern jet 😀

did KDFW-KSDF yesterday, flew great other than the click spot issue I mentioned.

Last night flew it LGAV - EDDL, late afternoon into evening flight.

The aircraft certainly looks nice and I appreciate Inibuilds updating it. However, here are things that I noticed:

1. Enroute moving map not working (mentioned in a previous post in this thread).

2. EFB unable to calculate takeoff performance (this was a present issue in previous version as well).

3. Tail Logo lights not illuminating the tailfin (D-AIAS from the Inibuilds livery section).

I was able to.

1 and 2 has never been a problem for me in over 40 flights.

Would have to check on number 3.

I've had no issue with efb takeoff calcs either.

I was using the msfs compatible version till now but this is a great update to make me buy the msfs24 premium version upgrade.

Hope they would implement the time compression to their A320N, A321N, A310 and A330 too. But those being defut aircrafts in the game, not sure, Asobo would pay to add those features.

Same for me (1 - 2).

Any idea why #2 is happening?

This update is a mess.

So, there is an issue with the EFB Panel States now, where when you select one, the 'confirm' button does not appear.   I then found that you have to select the panel state, come out of the panel screen, and the 'confirm' button glitchily appears.

Not only that, they added passenger stairs, which was much needed, but did not add a selection button for them to the ground services menu!!!   It doesn't happen with the Freighter, but with the Passenger version, it is impossible to remove the stairs.

Here am I , all ready to go, after a 45 minute full preparation.  There is absolutely nothing I can do to remove these double stairs!!!

fcking-stairs.jpg

Here is the EFB ground service, with absolutely no reference to the stairs!!!

no-fckin-options.jpg

There is an option in the options page to have the stairs or not, in cold & dark state.  But for me at least, that setting does nothing.  The stairs are there when I load in and cannot be removed.

I tried setting the panel state to "Ready for takeoff" and the stairs still were not removed.

Had to bail the flight and I'm deleting this version until INI fix all the issues they've introduced with it. (None of these issues existed in v1.0.6)

This has always happened at some airports for me.  I think it's when I can't pull the weather for some reason.   If you enter the weather manually, it then lets you successfully press 'calculate'.
