RELEASE NOTES Sim Update 5 Beta - 1.7.10.0

If you are playing on PC, outdated packages in your community folder may have an unexpected impact on the title’s performance and behavior.

If you suffer from stability issues or long loading times, move your community package(s) to another folder before relaunching the title.

General Bug Fixes

Blocked update of key motion parameters for user aircraft (position, orientation, translational and angular velocity vectors, translational and angular acceleration vectors, total force and total moment vectors) while the user is in the in-game menu.

Additionally, blocked update of translational and angular acceleration vectors, as well as total force and total moment vectors, while in Active Pause mode.

This change ensures export of fixed (last valid) motion parameter values via SimVars in situations where motion is not actually being simulated, and also fixes a G-LOC issue during Active Pause.

Aircraft

Fixed an issue breaking some behaviors for FS2020 aircraft (Tags Once, Delta, Wrap, Lock, DisabledWithMotionControllers, DisabledInVr, Disabled not being properly read)

Boeing 737 MAX 8

When PERF INIT is automatically initialized on runway spawn it now uses the filed cruise altitude instead of a default.

Improved autothrottle tracking accuracy in thrust target modes.

Fixed an issue where the autothrottle would erratically move at the target position in thrust modes.

Fixed a rare crash when attempting to draw a very long position trend vector on the ND map

Flight System

Flight planning

Fixed an issue where flight level cruise altitudes were not always properly respected or converted when filing a plan with ATC

EFB

Fixed an issue where Direct To bearing was not converted to magnetic bearing.

Fixed route string input dialog textbox lacking a scroll bar and having a visual artifact.

Discontinuities in the flight plan are now drawn as dotted paths.

Aircraft Gameplay

Fixed “disable_assistances” implemented through an assistance preset (would fail in Career mode when other presets were applied)

ATC

Fixed an issue that caused ATC to sometimes assign cruise altitudes above the service ceiling of the aircraft.

Career

I wish you well in getting your bucket list items, but I really do keep in mind that the amount of time and effort and manpower that has already gone into this sim is completely unprecedented. I

very nice.

Keep hoping for fix to missing landing … but sadly no such luck yet.  The irony is that you can see the missing landing gear issue in Asobo’s own intro video while it’s loading MSFS 2024.

Still not fixing ATC opening micro-stutter

WOW! That's been an issue for over a year.

Sim is still amazingly good now!

MSFS

Apparently the Bell 407 was completely replaced in one of the beta patches without mention.

The model was completely rebuilt by inibuilds

A lot of people are saying it feels very incomplete, and since it wasn’t mentioned in the patch notes, I’m wonder if it was accidentally released
