Not sure if I am missing something or if it's the plane not working properly I landed at ILS 18C at KMEM using the TDS GTN750 and the needles moved. I was using the Fedex Super Cargomaster variant. Are you sure you switched into NAV mode? Also I did have the latest update to the TDS GTN, although now today I see there's yet another update. March 26Mar 26 Update seems to have fixed everything. Thanks everyone. Ron MSFS 2024 -Too many airplanes to name. Too many airports to name.
March 26Mar 26 Pity we won’t get the G1000 coupled with this. Seems like most recent airliners are using the advanced cockpit Shom MSFS2024 running on Win 11, 4K screen, Z790 AORUS ELITE AX-W, i9-14900K, MSI 3080Ti, Corsair 2x32GB 6000 MHz, 1+2TB M.2 NVMEs

Thranda does this over in XP and it’s led me to buy a few of their addons I wouldn’t have otherwise. I know it’s more work, and given a lot of the customization BS builds from scratch, it might be too much work to connect it to the otherwise excellent Gx000’s by Working Title. Same here, tho: I fly the FSR 500 and Longitude precisely because they’re Hi Fi addons WITH Garmin glass 👍 Edited March 26Mar 26 by UrgentSiesta Correcting autocorrect

March 26Mar 26 I guess I can fly the Blackbird PC-6 if I just gots ta have it (a PT6 plane with a G1000) Would be nice to have a G1000 variant but from what I gather the majority of real world 208's do not have it, so I'm ok with it as-is. Flying this and the PC-6 always makes me feel like I'm "operating equipment" or flying a big truck. It's neat. I get that feeling a lot more with this plane, than I do with even the turbine Duke for some reason. I guess it's the speed. Or lack thereof. I think all the FedEx Caravans have the G600 suite in them now. Both Harbour Air Caravans were G1000s. The other ones I flew at different companies were analogue.

Tho BBS’ PC-6 is good, I doubt if it’s up to BS’ current standards. eg, BBS themselves have completely scrapped their F4U Corsair and are deving a ground-up rebuild for 2024. (They both released early in 2020 lifecycle). And in light of that, I’m perfectly happy to “suffer” with steam gauges in exchange for BS fidelity. 🤙
March 27Mar 27 I may have found an error with the C208...Now, it's been nearly 15 years since i've touched one, but if I remember correctly, we used to fly around in low idle...as you advance the thrust, the fuel flow adjusts to give you full thrust. High idle was used when we needed quick engine responsiveness. In this plane, I was wondering why my torque and ITT weren't getting limited...at all. And this is with the inertial separator closed. Once i bumped up the condition lever to high idle, the fuel flow spiked and I was able to get full thrust. If there are pilots with more recent experience, please chime in. This was the same with the king air and BE99. Similar engines, just different versions of the PT6. AMD 9950X3D | 64 GB RAM | RTX 5090 FMR: 747 FO, 757/767 CAPT, 737 Check Airman Current 777 CAPT

This was the same with the king air and BE99. Similar engines, just different versions of the PT6. Low idle/high idle shouldn’t matter when you’re flying. Above a certain Ng (no idea what it is) it automatically just goes to “high idle”. But you can fly around in low idle all day and the engine behaves exactly the same until you pull the power lever to idle, the engine WILL go to low idle instead. On wheels, we used to taxi just with the condition lever, moving it between low and high idle. It also does affect the stall warning system, which is only calibrated to work properly in High Idle. I can’t remember what the connection is though.
