Something is broken in 3.9.6. The interface with the Fenix A320 normally works well but now nothing happens. GSX menu has the select a gate options.

It may well be another case, as mentioned earlier in this thread, of the gate I'm parked at being considered too small. Odd if it is becuase Ive used the same gate at EGPF numerous times.

I love the modernized buttons but the large area of blank dead space to accommodate the yellow/black gauche update banner is unfortunate as it serves no other purpose. He could easily redesign the update alert approach but he's stubborn when it comes to user input and it's his way of the highway, which is probably in part because he has no real competition. Prior to this update one could drag the bottom of the menu up to hide the update banner but that will not be possible any longer. My workaround since I found the update banner to be too irritating to ignore is to auto run LiveUpdate at Win logon via Task Scheduler and it works wonderfully as one never sees the update banner. Here's what I mean--this dead space covers significant area of virtual cockpit and serves no useful purpose beyond a reserved space for the update banner. With the old menu one could resize the lower border to just under the SimBrief OK button, but that is no longer possible.

• Boarding

• Catering

• Refuelling

• Pushback

• Deboarding

as the first five options (the first three could be in any order I guess) so you could work down them like a checklist.

Having Deboarding as #1 in the list seems a little odd - I wonder why it was done that way? Perhaps it was done with a "turnaround" in mind (because you'd deboard first) but still a little weird since I'd wager 90% of simulator sessions start cold + dark rather than as a turnaround.

I'm completely respectful of the amount of work he does , but very often I can't relate to how he sees the product and the direction he takes development. And God forbid if one should ever challenge him in any way after which the usual string of insults direct and indirect ensues because he's always 100% correct...

Yep, well said. GSX is not the show, it's a modest adjunct to the show, period. I actually had hoped MS/A would have created a lite version of it as the animations and characters are superior, but alas it hasn't happened. I would welcome some meaningful competition. All of this opinion from this user's POV and others see things very differently I'm sure.

Apologies if this has already been discussed, I haven't seen anything, but for the life of me, why on earth have this enormous menu. If I can't somehow reduce the size and placement of this monstrosity I'll stop using GSX. I'm sure many feel it is great, and I'm making a 'mountain out of a mole hill,' but as someone who flies with a 48" monitor, I find the size of the menu more than imposing! The other thing I find frustrating is it always reappears on the right handside of the screen, even after I have moved it. But it's the size of the menu I find extremely irritating. Am I on my own with this? Does anyone know if this can be successfully reduced in size?

There seems to be a problem with the sequence not starting with the new GSX version, Any2GSX and the Fenix A320. Does anyone have the same problem or maybe a solution?

There's an option in GSX settings that has been added so that you can use the "Classic menu" instead.

I absolutely agree Steve and something I have thought about myself.

Maybe because its dynamic and deboarding is the first thing when arriving at the gate

Good to know. I was holding off updating because I'm not a fan of the new layout.

the invoice thing is a neat if pointless feature for a majority of users.
