I thought SU5 was jst likeSU4. I started developing some pauses and stutters near airports, so I reinstalled. Stutters were remedied, but they are back. SU5 is making me consider going back to v2020.

SU5 is making me want to kill myself! Endless little niggles. Yes lag, but little bits of controller things being messed with. What amazes me is that hundreds, maybe thousand on the beta side of things, did they report to Assobo? Did Assobo take note? Hurrumph!

EDIT: I've committed the cardinal sin of posting in a thread I haven't read. Just had a quick peruse and it didn't take long to find out that anything I've moaned about has been moaned about already...Many times. 😂

I'm now planning a full return to v2020. I'm in the process of using an old image of win 10. I was loving SU4. I spent $$ upgrading add-ons for nothing. Lesson learned.

I'd be surprised if you find yourself satisfied with such a move.  Hopefully it won't be evangelized, as there are so many "I'm thinking about going back to 2020" references on here at the moment and they tend to descend into dull "2020 is better than 2024!" dialogue. Many people who have any frustrations with 2024 then announcing to the eagerly-listening world that they're going back to 2020. 😄

I don't think many users care that much about which sim their fellow AVSIMers are using.

Not sure how accurate Google AI is for this query, but it does seem to match to the direction Asobo development focus.

I guess I get where Asobo are coming from, PC users aren't and will not be the primary target audience ... sorta makes sense given the cost of PC hardware these days.

 

Seems to track with everything that's gone public & verifiable.

Jorg himself has said quite a few times that Xbox is nearly half of the user base(!). Add to that the recent launch on PS5, and his comment that sales there are much better than had been estimated and...yeah.

In any case, lemme tell you guys: the day you're really unhappy with MSFS 2024 is the day you should fire up one of your other sims for comparison. All of the sudden, all these MSFS "problems" just don't seem to matter any longer. 😁

I lost count of how many times I went back to P3D. Aah, lovely, my faithful A2A Mustang etc. Once in the air I looked out of the window...And immediately went back to 2020 every bleedin' time! 🙄

Your choice, but I think that you're out of your mind. I bet that you were the type of kid that when things didn't go your way, you took your marbles and went home.

I’ve been meandering between sim platforms for a long time … all that really changes is how much time I spend in each one relative to the other.  But I must admit, it’s time consuming keeping 4 platforms going … my focus will be XP12 for this month, maybe P3D next month (still much to learn in FSLabs Concorde).  

They all have their issues … I’d certainly like to have “just one” platform, but I doubt that will ever happen … but diversity is good.

I've long believed that most on the "beta" program are just there so they can say they're on the beta program...

Use windows 11, nothing is designed for Windows 10 anymore.
