The blue glow is invaluable in low light situations sometimes. Really like it for doing the walkaround.

I think some simmers are really getting carried away - at the end of the day we're sitting in a chair in front of a PC - not even the highest end addons are close to actual flying. This addon cost les

  • Another video was posted an hour ago.  bit more than the 45 second 'cinematic' one above. Lot's of views of the nice eye candy.  Looks great!

The "blue glow" was mildly annoying when I first installed MSFS 2020 nearly three years ago, but I have got used to it for the most part. The only thing that still irritates me slightly is when the mouse cursor is on one of the "blue glow" switches, and the zoom key does not work!!

yea, I don't care for it either, but have learned to accept it. It can be helpful at times and I suppose there are more important details to concern myself with, however it would be nice to have a checkbox option to remove it for those who wish to do so.

Yes, the blue glow is why I don't (can't) use lock/focus mode. It just feels like an Xbox game, with every selectable part of the aircraft glowing blue. Absolutely destroys immersion and relegates even the most complex addon to feeling like Roblox, IMHO. I could never use it. I'd get a new hobby if that was all we had!

@Torsen - Great to hear that a solution is in hand for Legacy interaction mode users 👍

And doesn't know what the baggage compartment is? He seemed a bit fuzzy in the head at times during the video. I'm not sure I would want him to be my pilot in real life. ;)

But I really enjoyed how he edited in the real world comparism footage to show were the 3D-Modelling falls short and where it holds up.

I think that this whole "I can't remember what this is called" is just a shtick. However, his video - in comparison with the walk-around video for the soon-to-be-released Citation Sovereign shows that FSReborn seems to have cut a lot corners when it comes to modeling the outside of this plane.

can you give some examples of the outside modeling?

Can you just watch the video?

I like the 3d modeling in and outside. But after my only first flight, I remarked lots of non functional buttons on the pfd/mfd.

Yes, but i don't arrive to your conclussion. If you make a statement, be specific. What should I look out for?

The refueling point looks detailed on the phenom. The wings are actually nicely modeled. The door is detailed.

Then you clearly haven't watched the video. He compares it with live footage from the real aircraft and you claim you don't see it?

Honestly, I do not expect that the exterior of the aircraft perfectly match the real one. Raul has already explained in a video why the gear pin latch could not be modeled at its real place (inside the gear bay). This is a sim limitation. I would be more interested by a comparison concerning the avionics or the flight model for example.

I would not compare it to a plane that is not even out yet.
Maybe because I spend very little time outside the plane, but I don't see how they cut a lot of corners. Little things that are different.
Some that could have been done better. There was not not a lot there in the video to make my hair stand up.

Everyone has different perspectives of course. This is just mine.

Here is part 2 of the review

As for the Pin not being modeled in the correct place because of sim limitations:

Then why is it simulated at all? Not all aircraft have them simulated and it's not necesarry to simulate them. It's a nice to have not a must have. And I think that if you can't put it where it really belongs, then you'd better decide to ommit its simulation.

I tend to agree here, the points raised in the video are rather minor; it is a simulated aircraft and you are going to have limitations and the developer is going to make choices about what parts to focus on, conscious to balance looks, functionality, performance and cost/price. Expecting placards inside covers strikes me as nitpicking unnecessarily but for some people maybe those things are really important. It seems for almost every aircraft release gives rise to someone walking around and picking out "poor" texturing, missing placards, etc., like it is an art exhibit.

I don't like the way Raul chose to deal with the pin, but I do not think it is worth 2 minutes of video time. I also find the modeling of the latches to be very poor, it is like the fasteners are just painted on there and they do not move to give any sense of the work involved in opening the compartments, unlike A2A, Blacksquare, Flightsimware, etc. But at the end of the day I am interested in the systems, the avionics, the flight model, the possible things that can go wrong, that have to be maintained, and overall the sense of conducing a flight in that aircraft. And overall I find it a very good aircraft, especially for the price.

The 2nd part of the review shows a couple of things that are off on the system side, like improper simulation of Hydraulic Pressure or the missing 4 second cut out on any trim inputs.

That's not something that will influence how it flies, but it certainly influences the failure simulation.

I thought the review raised some good points about the quality. It is by far not as good as people with little knowledge of the real thing make it out to be. But it is also not a bad aircraft. It's just that maybe Raul should work on getting the aircraft right to a T before starting to implement Passenger simulation. ;)

I really like these type of videos. It is always great to see what is missing from the simulated aircraft's and how it effects your enjoyment once you know what is missing or wrong.

The good news is that the Phenom seems to already be in pretty good shape. I see very little in the second video that cant be fixed by FSReborn.

There are of course other things that others have mentioned that need to be fixed. FSReborn reputation is pretty good so I am not that worried.
