Phenom 300 soon? (released 18 May 26)

Featured Replies

In my first flight the aircraft radically pitch up and down and not able to maintain steady cruise altitude of FL240.

But maybe it is my mishandling the aircraft? Autopilot was selected and with Flight level change or Vs mode it kept behaving weird.

Also the takeoff roll was very unstable rudder wise compared to FlightFX business jets.

Will give it another try tonight…..

I think some simmers are really getting carried away - at the end of the day we're sitting in a chair in front of a PC - not even the highest end addons are close to actual flying. This addon cost les

"Silly"? Really? He may well be a great guy and fun to know in person, but personal styles and all that. I have a VERY hard time watching him for more than a few minutes, without thinking - could you

  • Another video was posted an hour ago.  bit more than the 45 second 'cinematic' one above. Lot's of views of the nice eye candy.  Looks great!

I recommend practicing a few takeoffs before doing a "real flight" - the flight dynamics in FSR's rendition are quite broken, but once you get a few takeoffs/landings under your belt, you'll know what to expect. FSR will fix it, but probably not until after they're back from the Expo.

I could well have been a bit ham-footed as one of the things I dislike about most rudder pedal brake axes, including mine, is that there's no progressive "feel" to them, making it hard to be gauge braking force. Keeping partial braking even is also tricky.

I'm using the cheap CH Pro Pedals so I definitely relate... I also often accidentally use differential braking when I need a lot of pedal work on the ground so that just makes directional control worse. I'm not sure when exactly you should start hitting the brakes on the Phenom after touchdown... there is probably a balance for quick braking that minimizes fade. I'm guessing 100kts+ heats up the brake pads quick!

I'm not sure where I heard about the brake fade, maybe it came from a post from Raul or a video... I swear I saw it somewhere though.

Is this what my cabin status should look like at 45,000 feet? BTW the temperature is continuing to fall.

The bleed air light should be on. Looking at the Phenom thread in the official forums it looks like other folks are having this issue as well, so it might be a bug that doesn't happen for everyone. You could try switching liveries, I read this helps to "reset" the EFB which could help?

I've never seen this... since this was your first time flying the aircraft, maybe something wasn't fully loaded? Not sure if it uses WASM or not, but I've had quirks the first time I've loaded other WASM aircraft that were fixed after a reload.

I'm not sure if you can call the flight dynamics broken... we'd need a real Phenom pilot to confirm, and real pilots did test this. The plane hand flies great; it's just the ground handling at high speeds during takeoff and landing that get squirrely. When I do nail the touchdown it feels great... you really get the feeling of planting the main gear on the runway. I'm wondering if some compromises were made that cause the unstable behavior on the ground. If it does need to be tweaked, hopefully FSR can maintain at least a bit of the challenge in crosswind landings, because many aircraft feel way too stable when you land with a side load, when they should really be rolling a bit in the direction of the load.

Erratic movement only affects some because all good here but I use an XBOX Controller which I reccomend.

Just watched some of the live stream and I have to point out the same sensitivity was visible on landing where the plane struggled to stay on centerline. This is the same sensitivity other planes were plagued with. I suspect this will be one of the items that gets some quick feedback after launch.

Called it...

Just to close the loop on my issue here, Raul just responded to me "Watch you not running at max throttle, that closes the ecs lines" THAT was my problem :-)

So just to clarify, we won’t have to wait until after expo to see a fix?

Because there is an official support channel on Discord.

No really? I've been on his Discord since it started. I just thought that there was some other reason why he doesn't post here.

I don't mind Discord, but the bot that FSReborn employs to answer support questions needs work........

Plane is decent, I like the "more realistic" version of refueling.

Absolutely. It's awful. I feel like making a deadly cocktail and slipping it to "Jenny".

For those that want to create an FBO.

There is the manual of course, but if your like me, you like visuals.

This is the only one I have found that is pretty good.

Guy is really annoying, could be because I was listening at 1,5 speed, but I think he is annoying even at 1,0. Could be just me.

Explains the start to finish. Pretty easy to do if you have played any kind of city builder games.

For those that hate video links. (Sorry)
