A330 Driver made the following comment during his mini review video that he just released:

It is rather difficult to maintain a certain approach speed with the airplane in landing configuration and you easily get speed deviations of +/- 10 knots which have a huge effect on the flight model which makes it rather hard to control the airplane precisely and maintain a precise glide slope.

He said he is sure the development team will handle this issue and fix it.

I think this is another example of the host sim not playing nicely with aircraft with swept wings in gusty conditions, especially ones like the F100 which has a slatless wing.

I only flew it briefly this morning but in calm winds and found no issues with speed stability at all.

  • That's exactly how I feel, and if just one was available from JF as of tomorrow, I'd just buy the F70, as I see it as more of a pure RJ. But as far as I can see only the bundle is listed on JF as of n

  • UK price for the individual planes is £49.99 so you don't save much compared to the bundle of both for £59.99

  • Personally, I don't think so. Just Flight doesn't need to operate that way - their stellar reputation speaks for itself, and that is reflected online. Any new release from them is eagerly anticipated

I’ve been waiting for this one for ages and can’t fly her yet as I’m away!!! But will absolutely purchase right away upon return. Looking forward to hearing more comments and impressions.

I have noticed a lot of on line hype for this release.

Is it particularly special or just experiencing a concerted effort from JF & on line influencers to push it?

This aircraft holds absolutely zero interest for me. They could sell it for $20 and I wouldn’t buy it…

However, my disinterest allows me the perspective to observe the high degree of interest in this addon appears to be quite organic. It’s obviously an aircraft that IS special to a big group of folks.

And we know from Just Flights long track record that they do good work (and they’ve really improved since MSFS took off), so this is very likely to be an excellent addon.

All that adds up to the RIGHT kind of hype.

Please do correct if I am wrong but Just Flight became more popular since MSFS.

In the days of FSX/P3D, they were serious but not exceptional.

Even today, for me they have good products but nothing stellar or ground breaking, no game changer.

Except of course for products such as Black Square's one for which they are publisher.

This is true, but as I said above, IMHO they’ve gone from generally Good to generally Great, esp with the significant improvements across their 2024 v2 upgrades.

BUT also IMHO they still slot firmly below the Tier 1 devs like Fenix, PMDG, A2A, et al, but I believe that’s more a case of the hyper specialization of those devs.

Eg., Just Flight offers an extremely varied portfolio of entirely different aircraft types, where Fenix only (really) offers one. So it’d be unreasonable to expect all of JF’s addons to be S-Tier.

So, while there isn’t a JF addon on my list of All Time Favorites, I do genuinely enjoy the majority of their addons I have.

The flight model as is is really peculiar, particularly on the approach. Also a big nose down pitching when you disconnect the autopilot on the approach. It's one of those that I'm glad I bought - I will keep it in the hangar as one puts a fine wine in the cellar to mature and I will come back to it when it's had a few updates and stabilised. I adore the F70 and F100 in real life so am very pleased we have them in the sim now.

I agree with this. Things like the RJ displaying wind data on the ground with the INS turned off is not something a top-tier developer would get wrong. JF is more on iniBuilds level: They are fine for day-to-day ops, as long as you don't look too closely. The only difference to iniBuilds is that the JF plane are quite polished upon release and not bug-ridden like the iniBuilds planes.

I hope they sort that out in the next month. An airliner should be perfectly stabilised on the approach when the autopilot is switched off.

v1.1 (0.1.1) - Released 26/06/26

  • Added support for SimBrief Pilot IDs of less than 5 characters

  • Fixed EFB Performance App drop-down boxes

  • Fixed F70 duplicate landing gear door models

I find it always wierd that I have to read on Avsim that there is an update. Why don't these developer simply push an email to all the buyers with a link or somekind of notification and instruction to update their product.

That approach behaviour is the bit I'd want to pin down before judging it too harshly.

For those seeing the nose-down change or the +/-10 kt swings on final, was that with live weather/gusts active, or also in a calm preset? MSFS can make swept-wing aircraft feel very twitchy in gusts, so it would be useful to separate a sim/weather issue from an aircraft trim or autopilot disconnect issue.

I flew an approach into EDDF yesterday. The wind was only around 3kts. It was a joy to handfly. Absolutely stable and quite easy to hold the spproach speed. I noticed a nose down moment when disconnecting the autopilot, but not in a way that it was uncontrollable.

I purchased the JF F70/F100 bundle. I watched the recent reviews on it and noticed that the INIT section of the FMS had a right arrow on the top right of the FMS screen to go to the next page of the INIT section. However, I don't see this on my end as I only have one page and no right arrow in the INIT Section of the FMS of the F100 and F70. Could that also explain why the PROF mode is not doing anything on my flights regardless it is turned on? Should I have a 2nd page in the INIT section of the FMS where I enter stuff?

......except that a fully stabilised aircraft on final approach should not dip, climb or turn at all when the autopilot is switched off. That's the entire point (I would assume) of preparing the aircraft for landing.

Did you start with your engines running? (Or use an automatic setting to set up the plane).

AFAIK, the INIT B page disappears if the engines have been started before the INIT has been completed.

This is a real life behaviour and applies to the Airbus too.

Exactly.

When an aircraft addon in MSFS jolts or changes pitch when the AP is removed, that is usually because :-

PITCH_USE_ELEVATOR_ONLY

.....has been set to '1' in the [autopilot] section of the systems.cfg

All autopilots that have automatic trimming by the AP (around 90% of them), should have:-

PITCH_USE_ELEVATOR_ONLY=0

PITCH_USE_TRIM_ONLY=1

I'm away from my PC today so can't check this in the F70. It may be something completely different. This is just one common issue that causes pitch changes and jolts when the AP is disconnected.
