I thoroughly enjoy this add-on.

Picked it up the instant it became available! Money very well spent. And it was free in 2020, but Jonx had to put a ton of time in to get it to work in 2024. Got Friends gives a ton back to this hobby both in freebies and in low cost quality products.

Love it. My two cats, Marvin and Tomos, are long gone but it's a delight to remember them when I fly.

Very on the fence - on the one hand, I do like the concept and cats, on the other hand, I use one of the lady co-pilots to pretend I'm spending time with my wife lol

I think I'll hold out for the beard DLC though - as a heavily bearded man IRL, I really have an axe to grind over the fact that the NPC passengers and SAR techs can have beards, meaning the facial hair is there, already modelled, but you cannot have any yourself. My avatar looks like a baby tom cruise :(

My 19 year old tuxedo cat passed away earlier this year. His favourite place to sleep was in a chair ext to me while i flightsimmed, I always joked that he was my co-pilot. If I can virtually add him to my right seat through this addon then I’m in!

This is an interesting add on - allergic to cats though I like them, if they add a Shih Tzu variant I’m afraid I’m in!

This reminds me of a philosophical discussion I had as a kid with my private pilot dad - “If our pet guinea pig could somehow gain an ATP license and have enough twin time, would you ride on an airliner he’s piloting?”. I said yes, my dad insisted “No!” - he figured the little rodent just wouldn’t be able to stay focused enough on final approach.

Is it there a way to see all dogs/cats and its variations (or at least the beagle ones)? I still miss my Luna. When I still lived with my parents, she was always by my feet while I was simming. Obviously I want her flying with me, at least virtually.

I think it's ridiculous that that people pay $$$ for GSX or Navigraph Charts, but I'd always qualify that as being only in my opinion. I know it doesn't represent the majority.

Odd thing to feel so strongly about. If it doesn't appeal, walk past.. rather than posting 4 posts about how much you hate an addon that adds pets to the cockpit.

Bill, the conversation was over for him, but I'll gladly start it back up for you. You continue to validate my original comment that at least one person would put me on blast. Too bad I didn't make bets.

I find it amusing that you're perfectly comfortable calling products like GSX and Navigraph ridiculous, but when I say this add on is ridiculous at a $10 price point, suddenly that's unacceptable. That is the definition of hypocrisy. You're criticizing me for expressing an opinion while doing the exact same thing yourself. My original comment even said, "to each their own, but for me..." That's called an opinion. I didn't "feel strongly" about anything until people started twisting my words and implying I don't think developers should be paid. I never said that, and I never implied it. I mean, my first post was literally a sentence so how strongly could I have really felt??

Let's also be clear. At no point did I say I hated this add on. Those are your words, not mine. You're the second person in this thread to argue against something I never said. If you actually read my original comment, I specifically said I would support it as a free add on. I simply don't think it offers enough value to justify a $10 price tag. That's my opinion, no different than your opinion that GSX and Navigraph are ridiculous.

What this exchange really highlights is the toxicity that exists in parts of this community. Instead of accepting that someone has a different opinion, some people feel the need to twist their words into something they never said because it's easier to argue against a position that was never taken. In your defense, this isn't unique to the flight simulation community. It's become a problem throughout society. Too many people are incapable of accepting a differing opinion without turning it into a personal attack or rewriting what was actually said. Ironically, that's exactly what you and the last guy have done.

I'll end it by making my position crystal clear:

• I don't hate the product.

• I don't hate the developer.

• I absolutely believe developers who create quality products deserve to be paid.

• I also believe not every product rises to the level of payware. In my opinion, this does not rise to the level of payware.

• I do not believe this product offers a ton of value to our hobby, but as it has been pointed out several times, the developer is free to charge whatever they would like. I'll continue to vote with my wallet.

Continue spinning this however you'd like, but those have been my positions from the very beginning. This is the end of OUR conversation as well whether you reply or not.
