  1. The manual does not have it that way - per the manual it should be LFPG - Terrain bottom, LFPG middle and LFPG - Layerup on top.
  2. Does the same for me - very frustrating...
  3. Great to hear - I lived in Ruidoso for a few years and later Las Cruces and would eat at both often. Miss the green chile wontons ...
  4. Same question as Frank above - what slider / setting is being changed to get rid of lava roads? I applied the patch/hotfix, downloaded/applied ENV again and basically no change. Roads as lava red as ever?
  5. As I said earlier in this thread, I managed to get it on the first release. No regrets, but . . . Major Gripe is regarding Documentation: No word on the EVO FADEC at all. Nothing in manual regarding steering button on yoke - it is required to actually taxi. Steering system is referenced, but no explanation on how to activate modes. No information on V Speeds (takeoff, approach or landing). I have been using Vr as 105, 110 seems better. Vapp at 120 or more depending on weight. When asked in the support forum MilViz responded that their information used is copyrighted and can't be posted. No cruise tables, or indication on what cruise power should be. RW aircraft apparently has a cancel button for the Gear Warning Horn on right throttle - I find and descending and leading to approach to slow to flap speed the horn gets pretty annoying. Manual makes no mention of it but it seems to be there and working. Only way I found it was by reading about it in an unrelated real world test flight. Tool tip lists it and the one on the left both as GA buttons. Guess it pays to poke around! Appears to have an emergency gear system where release handle and pump handle move - no mention in manual Page 17 list wheel by throttle as trim, tool tips call in friction knob - functions as friction knob - as expected - don't turn it to 100% or your throttle won't move, perhaps lower values would help with a noisy throttle? Manual Page 5 says chart functionality, web page "This release does not include a chart viewer system" They included an XML Controls Variable pdf - no one reviewed (or cared enough to fix) the fact that in converting to a PDF the comments/notes/values were truncated and no longer lined up, just on pages by themselves. Seems to fly fine for the most part - VERY sensitive in pitch, very squirrely in turbulence, all which is probably very good modeling. Was rotating at 105 but hard to unstick, 110 seems better on latest release. I have read various real world reviews, some that say 800+ deg can be maintained in climb but 785 is recommended. Not clear what best ITT for cruise is. Max TAS is listed as 402 at FL310 /Mach 0.70. I was able to get a TAS of 353 TAS at FL310, ISA and an ITT of 810, 9,500lbs GW. Cruise seems to be governed by ITT, RPM stays at max (1800) throughout the flight (true to life I believe). One real World EVO flight test says they were able to maintain 75% torque at FL350 ISA+5, MACH 0.64, no mention of ITT. I set this up and got very close to same numbers, but ITT was very high at 823/825. Since it is not covered in the manual hard to say if that ITT is maintainable for the engine. It flashed warnings at 830. I find approaches challenging. Everything you do will require significant pitch trim changes going from neutral to almost full up pitch trim. At 130 slowing to 120 pitch attitude even on short final is 5 deg nose down. Pitch up does not bleed speed as quickly as it seems to cause an increase in VS, so time of power reduction and pitch up for landing attitude is tricky (fun). Not sure if that much pitch down is realistic? All the numbers I mention are just gleaned from the internet, would love input from anyone with some solid info.
  6. You might search for *kabq*.bgl in main sceney/world/scenery folder to see if something got dumped there. Also a long shot but *kirk*.bgl (i have seen that sometimes as the military designation for KAFB).
  7. I don't know if it would solve this issue, but, you may look at the freeware addon for metro Albuquerque area (works with the TS KABQ for me). Google SimWest Albuquerque, freeware but you have to "purchase" at no cost from FlightSim store. The boundaries with default/ORBX area are quite noticeable, but, for me it is worth it.
  8. FYI the new installer is showing in my SimMarket account - downloading now . . .
  9. I saw on T2G Facebook page a fix might be out tomorrow. He says he has also been emailing out fixes, but I submitted a complete request with a picture and purchase info and have not received any reply.
  10. Cabin is there. I would rate as fair to good. There are no views already set up so you would create your own. I use Chase Plane so not a big deal. Uses all custom controls that I see, hopefully someone can create a LINDA config. I think what may be missing is anything related to the FADEC controls, no mention in the manual and have to manage engines traditionally as I see so far.
  11. It was released, then it wasn't. Question about that was asked on the forum several hours ago but no answer so far (sure it is late in various parts of the world). I picked it up. Even though I am critical of much of how MilViz operates I do like their aircraft. Looks very good to me, manual is lacking a lot (V speeds, cruise tables / info). Took me awhile to find out how to steer on the ground - there is a button on the yoke but it is not mentioned anywhere (and of course I hide the yoke). Even then steering seemed to fail then I would have to push again even though the PFD was still indicating STEERING - TAXI. Joe
  12. I have this issue as well. Regarding a restarting - I always do a clean reboot before a long session. Some time ago I picked up a tip to prevent spurious programs from restarting with a reboot. I created a short cut with the target "%WINDIR%\system32\shutdown.exe /r /f /t 0", starting in %WINDIR%\system32 and I use this shortcut to restart instead of the restart from "Shutdown / Sign out". Shutdown.exe is a MS program, so it should already be present and safe. Using this instead default "restart" sequence has helped me.
  13. I experience the same issue every flight. I always ensure taxi light is off (don't want to blind the ground crew), and always have fuel levers cut off. I do use hardware for fuel cut off, but, levers are in down position in sim.
  14. You can check out the one by FSDG (published by Aerosoft) - is has been around quite some time, but, was updated for v5. Not sure if there is anything else out there...
  15. Hello Carlos, Congrats on getting KABQ released. Will the fx file you mention be available on your website or via Simmarket? Thanks. Joe
  16. Someone at AS should proof their work. For me the Aerosoft A333 in both v4 and v5 the Vehicle selection window Performance section of the Aircraft it reads Maximum Range 6,350nm 11,759km, and Fuel Capacity 240,712lb 109158kg. That comes right from the [General] section of the aircraft.cfg. Not an issue where someone would feel mislead in buying at all, but, a source of confusion for anyone that may actually look at that field (as I do occasionally). It also has a typo and lists the Maximum Gross Weight 242,000lb 533,000kg Joe
  17. Curious to see if the new beta fixes the issue. I really do not think it was the actual winds as much as a (maybe related) visual glitch. Although the layers moving faster than my aircraft were always below me I never encountered super strength winds at any levels climbing, descending or cruising. Cruising at 0.80M to 0.84M and the speed the clouds were passing in my case they would have been over 1.0M.
  18. I have seen it. Reported in their forum and acknowledged by another user. I did not have saved logs so other than a comment to that point my post went unaddressed. No official support for the beta anyways.
  19. I agree with Sabretooth78, would be nice. As to it being "a bit much" - what's wrong with it being a configutation option as he stated? My gosh people look for any reason to pile on.
  20. Hello Eduard, Your tip helped solve my issue - thank you for sharing. I am trying to run P3Dv5, so in addition to your step i had to copy over the WebSimBrowser entry into my P3Dv5 dll.xml. Even though I pointed the installer to v5 it placed files there but seemed to modify the v4 dll.xml. Once I did that I reinstalled the SVS and in my case the 182T. Upon start I got the failure / please start manually message (I ignored), the terr test message showed. I had to turn on the SVS in the PFD but then it was fine. Again - thanks! Joe
  21. I have quite a bit of TS and generally like it (STILL waiting on KABQ)- but as pointed out this bundle is about 8 years old and I am pretty sure it does not include the latest version of many of the ones that have been updated.
  22. I have to say I received excellent service from Stefan. Following this thread I decided to see what type of upgrade discount I might get on my DVD version purchased at least three years ago. In less than 10 minutes I received a very nice reply with a 40 Euro discount. Quite fair in my mind. Joe
  23. According to ORBX it is. Last entry - https://orbxdirect.com/prepar3d-v5
  24. Regarding the TER ERR - same for me. I tried the fixes on their website, etc. Seems to be a fair amount of users experiencing, but, little concern on their part.
  25. Yeah, somethings up. Happening on every forum I visit that uses same / similar software, and, on multiple devices for me (Android phone and PC).
