  1. Indeed, I have asked Ryan a few product support questions in the past, and some just out of pure curiosity (Ryan, remember the question about the upper and lower speed limits of the B747-400?). I have never received a curt reply from him, bearing in mind that he did not even need to reply that question, or for that matter from other developers, but having said that, I always try to be as courteous as I can, even when I am frustrated with a product, and I have to say that I have come across too many support requests here in the forum where the poster jumps on the developer's back and start to accuse them of everything under the sun to know that usually attacks of that nature causes a response that may be somewhat less courteous. None of us like to be accused of all sorts of things when there is usually not even a basis for it! I have asked a few "dumb" questions in the past, like when I asked Ryan about why my FMC in the NGX is not saving my simulation options and why I had to re-enter everything when I restarted FSX when I got it to work right before the re-install. Now, it is clearly indicated in the manual that FSX should be run in Administrator mode first if using Vista/7, and I did get it right the first time, but forgot that little aspect when re-installing everything. Ryan's reply was courteous and where most of us would probably have had the inclination to tell the customer just to read the darned manual, he dealt with it professionally and courteously. Just my 2 cents. Kind regards
  2. I just did a good 10 hour flight yesterday in the old 744X. This week, for review reasons, I will spend much more time in the 737 NGX, my short and medium route king (or is that queen???) When the T7 is out, I will fly it short and medium during the week, long and ultra long over the weekends, that is the great thing about simulation - I can fly it 200 2000 or 10000 miles, the decision is mine completely! Also in response to the poster about the T7 looking "normal" - you are right, it looks exactly like the real thing, very normal indeed, no missing windows, panels, buttons or displays  :LMAO: ! Not sure what else you can expect, amazing job by PMDG as far as I am concerned. Kind regards
  3. Well said Ryan! I cannot find fault with the VC, I always loved the clean and modern look of the 777, but that said, I enjoy the more sort of "cluttered" look of the VC in the 737 NGX. Each one adds the character of the actual airplane to it. If a 737 suddenly started looking like a 777 inside, I would be rather disgusted :LMAO: What I have come to know PMDG for is that the product looks and feels like the real thing, it sounds like the real thing and flies like the real thing, enough said. Thanks for the great work and I am very much looking forward to powering her up and start the hurtle down the runway to the take off! Kind regards
  4. Yeah, the 744 is older, but I still get nice performance out of it. But it also depends on how your FSX is setup and what types of scenery you run. I don't care too much for scenery so I update my afcad's and basically leave it at that. Kind regards
  5. I concur with RSR, most amazing aircraft as far as I am concerned. To have one on the level of quality of the NGX would be WOW!!! Also, the 747-8i is an amazing addition with all systems simulated properly. Kind regards
  6. Well, the only place in my opinion where the current 747 shows a bit of age is in the displays, the rest of it is marvelous! I have been flying it since my FS9 days, many thousands of hours on it and I still do fly it! Buy it, you won't regret it - you can say that about any aircraft in the PMDG shop, and do so with confidence! Kind regards
  7. Yes, the guys at PMDG are masochists LOL!!! I have seen some wild projections that some people think that it will only be released this time next year and I am silently hoping and praying that that is not the case  :Praying: Kind regards
  8. Hi, Welcome! Just remember that you have to sign with your real name or you post will be deleted! Firstly, I assume you are talking about the default flightsimulator B747? Secondly, are you using FS2004 or FSX? For both the answer is yes, you can add panels and virtual cockpits to it, here on AVSIM and other sites you can download a myriad of them and install them. Kind regards
  9. Very good one! :LMAO: Kind regards
  10. Now there is a definite +1 :LMAO: Kind regards
  11. I'll simply say that it is a shame that they are doing it this way since I have to agree with Florian, that VC looked quite "done" to me as well :-). Kind regards
  12. Thanks for the information Bryan! Kind regards
  13. Yes, even in my country these incidents are not few and far between! It happens with disturbing repetition, and it certainly is not so easy to catch the perps. It is very dangerous, and in one incident the laser was shone into the cockpit of a Kulula flight (one of our low cost carriers) and the pilot (a lady), averted danger by swithing over from what would have been a visual landing to a straight instrument approach. I think they should impose minimum sentence laws for these people, treat it as attempted murder and give them a sentence of ten years minimum, unless they can show good cause as to why that sentence should not be imposed - good luck with the last part though! Kind regards

    PMDG 777 CD

Hi there, remember to sign with your full name as well or your post will be deleted. There should be a CD at some stage, but this will take a bit of time. Although, please note that I don't speak on behalf of PMDG here, that is just the trend over the past few years :-). Kind regards
  15. That is easy to fix - simply increase the number of fps of the VC to at least around 25 fps and the problem will disappear, but you might get decreased overall performance! Kind regards +1, I cannot see what is wrong with the textures either??? Kind regards +1, I cannot see what is wrong with the textures either??? Kind regards
  16. Say Bryan, how about a release date??? :LMAO: Kind regards
  17. Please let it be this weekend, please  :Praying: :LMAO:
  18. Amazing stuff! Is this for FSX or FS9, just asking because your banner says FS9? If I could get my hands on that panel, I would be back in business with the Classics! That is payware quality there sir! Will you be making it avaiable to other simmers at some point, I would pay to get my hands on that! Kind regards
  19. Just as a matter of interest, have you got the service packs installed? Kind regards
  20. Great stuff! I also think #3 is the best, who said flightsim was just for heavy jets??? Marvelous work, thanks! Kind regards
  21. I am a 747-400 NUT! Having said that, I have watched just about every video I can find about take offs etc in 744's from just about every operator I could find. What I can say about the PMDG 744's EPR ratings are that they are pretty much spot on! When the aircraft was released, it only featured the GE engine's performance model, and therefore N1 was used as the primary indicator. When 1.20 was released for FS9, it added the P&W and RR engine variants to. That was when the other performance tables were added for those two engine variants. Still love the old 744 - still my absolute most favourite long range bird! Cannot wait for the v2.0 and -8i/F! Kind regards
