  1. Having got checked out in a nice new 172 with the G1000 last week in the real world, I took A2A's gem for a nice flight from Revelstoke to Victoria. And yes, I was playing around with wheel pants and all that, which is why some shots have them and others don't...
  2. So you just started this thread to ###### then? And not read any information? What's wrong with this forum these days? People here are starting to suck, A LOT.
  3. P-3s usually shut down an engine or two in SAR to extend their time over the area. Should give you a bit more time over target.
  4. I love that people talk as if they have the first clue about how much "under the hood" stuff PMDG has to do for SP1. Honestly, if I was PMDG, I'd just keep my mouths shut until there's something to download, then upload it at midnight and it would avoid all of this ######ing.
  5. Powering out on a dawn departure. Gotta love those reheats in this light! Thundering off 27L on a chilly morning. Passing the moon on our way to Mach 2. Accelerating through Mach 1.4 here and climbing fast. Almost at the Mach 1.7 cutoff. Getting darker since we're heading westbound and traveling faster than the earth rotates. Concorde makes the sun go down again, so these passengers will get two sunrises in one day. Pretty awesome, really. It'll be pitch black when we land in Barbados, arriving earlier than when we left London.
  6. Thundering off 27L to New York.
  7. If you get stressed out by a hobby, you should probably find some other life activities to get into. It's not like PMDG owes us news. When there's no news, there's no news. That's the way it is.
  8. Spotter grabbed a shot of G-BOAF loading passengers and baggage before departure. All four burning copious amounts of fuel. Control check in progress as the tug leaves us behind. "Positive rate, gear up, and TURN!" Concorde executing a hard left turn out over Jamaica Bay in the Canarsie Climb. Engaging the reheats climbing through FL270 to push us through the Mach. FL570, Mach 2.03. New York to London in 3:15.
  9. Plenty of pilots deactivate the FDs when they're flying in nice weather. Just fly the missed as published, you don't always need the electronics telling you what to do. I've been in the Concorde for a couple weeks now... No FD guidance in that thing on departure, and it's quite the handful. Great fun though.
  10. I was lucky enough to drive the whole PCH last summer. From Seattle to San Diego. It was amazing! Nice shots!
  11. Lol, this kinda thing happens ALL THE TIME. It's rediculously warm out today in Edmotnon, at 32 F or so. I wouldn't be surprised if it dipped to -40 in a week. This winter has been all over the place. We have a ton of snow already, more than triple what we usually get... but it's mostly been warm. Which sucks. Because my BMW is filthy.
  12. You guys are hilarious. It's -24 C here for MONTHS... It's been -42 here for a couple days already.
  13. Or just press F1 when you're done slewing to make sure the plane is on the ground.... Works every time for me.
  14. Just landed in Montreal after a 4.5 hour flight from KSAN. My first VATSIM flight... and it was fantastic. Can't believe I played offline all these years.
  15. A beautiful day like that, and you're letting the autopilot do the work?!
  16. Nope, fly the needles, not the FD. Also, it's hard not to "chase" the ILS needles. You end up overcorrecting the aircraft and getting very unstable. I'll take a stable approach that has the GS needle a little high/low over chasing it trying to get it perfect.
  17. I find it's a frame killer, but damned if it isn't awesome weather injection. Better than OPUS, IMO.
  18. High River isn't that far north haha! I live further north than that!
