Hi there, I joined CAE Oxford Aviation Academy Brussels last September, and my flight mate and I, had the idea to create a facebook page to share our experience with everybody who wants to follow us. We are now finishing our preparation before going to Arizona (5th December) to start flying for real and we're planning to share loads of pictures and probably videos of our flights ! Bonjour tout le monde, C'est avec une petite crainte de me faire remballer que j'écris ce post qui n'est pas forcément en rapport avec la simulation de vol mais moi-même ayant passé je ne sais combien d'heures sur FSX, je suis rentré en Septembre dernier à Oxford Aviation Academy Brussels et j'ai eu l'idée avec mon binôme de créer une page de manière à faire partager ce que nous sommes entrain de vivre à travers des récits, photos et bientôt des vidéos ! C'est aussi l'occasion pour ceux qui souhaitent rentrer dans une école de pouvoir poser leurs questions (via MP) et de voir comment ça se passe depuis le regard de deux étudiants, ce qui est toujours plus informatif que sur les sites webs ! What a great idea ! Thank you Aamir ! My only fear regarding this new baby is the framerates... Has it been confirmed that it should take less ressources than the NGX ? As someone said in an other post, the 777 is a long haul aircraft so we can see it landing in the biggest international airports most of the time, and we all know that this kind of sceneries modeled in FSX is very hard on frames

Salut Servet, Après que ton NGX soit installé, l'installateur va te dire qu'il va procéder à une vérification de Directx pour savoir s'il est à jour. Apparemment le tien l'est donc tu as juste à quitter et d'ouvrir ton FSX. Tu devrais pouvoir profiter de cette petite merveille ! En espérant que ça réponde à ton problème. Bonne soirée ! Thank you ! Actually we are using ADE to add waypoints and to convert the latitude and longitude from decimal to degree decimal minutes :) After h jours of hard work here we are !!! SIDs, STARs, Approaches (VOR, NDB, ILS) !!!Thanks very much for your help !

Hey all !With a friend, we have just started to create a fictional airport somewhere in Australia and we'd like to create some SIDs and STARs but we don't know how to do :( We have already added the airport and the runways in the FMC database but how could we do to do the same for the SIDs/STARs ?Any help would be much appreciated :)Best regards,Sam

Have you tried a different take off ? I mean, in a different airport, or with a different SID ?After VNAV is disengaged do you have any "warning" message on the FMC ?

Hi !If the ATC assigns you a different runway than in the tutorial it's because of the wind... you always take off with headwind ! I don't think it's possible to tell the ATC what your flight plan is, because the FSX ATC works with the FSX flight planner... That's why I'm no flying with ATC :D Nevertheless you can buy an ATC addon way more realistic as Radar contact ! Is VNAV engaged before take off ? If it is, normally you just need to engage AP A or B at around 1000fr AGL and that's all !Hope it helps

The -700 ! Definitely ! I've noticed something quite funny. When I was flying the 800 or the 900 I found the 600/700 too short, but now I'm flying the 600/700 I find the 800/900 too long hahaha

This problem usually happens when you're using autobrakes when you turn the knob to the OFF position instead of braking manually to disconnect them.

Wasn't it possible to just follow your SID with the LNAV button to ge you to your first waypoint ? And other question, when do you set the ADF ? I never use it... :/

I was just wondering what value do we have to enter in the course selectors before take off ? I saw some videos where CRS 1 and CRS 2 were different. How do I find these values ? During the cruise do we have to change them or do we change them just for the approach ?
