The absolute only way to get rid of these "device hung" error messages is by doing a complete OS install and reinstalling everything from scratch. I do this once a year in February and (knock on wood) have not had this error since I began doing it (P3D v3.something.) PITA, yea, you bet. Takes about 2 days but then this thread is already 2 weeks old without an end in sight. You're already staying home, staying safe, so why not. Install everything fresh, not updating an update that was previously updated. Clear out those useless gotta have utility(s), scenery(s), etc I also give the computer case the once over. Reseating memory, cards, cables, etc.

Negative. The ASP3D installer will ask if you want to remove the *.xml entries of ASP4. Answer "yes" so you don't get two versions of Active Sky running.

It is confusing. New product is called "ASP3D" and works with v4 AND v5 of P3D. It's in open beta and be sure to read the installation notes cuz there's lots of hoops to jump thru. I haven't found anything definite but I'm guessing ASP4 has reached the end of its development life.

Hi Ed, If you already own the CRJ X and can upgrade to the Pro version for $25 I'd do it. Much better airplane and most everything works except as noted in this thread. AP controlled turns and LOC tracking still need to be tuned. But full price? Nope. Wait for a sale.

Are you referring to the real thing or the simulation? The Digital Design's CRJ700-900 X really does suck but the Pro version fixes most of the things that made its predecessor unflyable. Don't know if the Pro version is still being developed and updated, or whether they've moved on.

I don't want to pile on, but after updating to 0.9.4.2 I'm told I have outdated models and run the SimObjects updater. It then wants me to point to a download of the PSFXAI A350 which is a payware model. Which I don't have. "Use freeware only" is checked on that same page. Have never used payware AI planes. "User cancelled installation" because the progrsam was caught in a loop and only Task Mgr could end the program.. Bert's reply above gives you your answer. All your keyboard and button assignments are in the "standard.xml" file.

Fly Tampa website clearly shows LGAV as being compatible with P3D v4 (and other simulators and versions.) But there's an * next to P3D v4 and v5. Not sure what the * refers to but if you can find the explanation could be your answer.

My paranoia says that Google is much more interested in what you're doing than Microsoft is.

FFTF v1.5.4 is only for P3D v4.X builds. As listed on the FSPS product page.

How so? Explain. I have a 4K Samsung monitor set to 30Hz driven by a RTX2080Ti, TrackIR5 and Chaseplane and don't notice any appreciable stuttering or lag. I do use TrackIR5 in precision mode though cuz my head tends to wander. P3Dv4.5.14.

I went thru this same dance with a 500GB samsung SSD about 16 months ago. A brand spanking new Asus z390 (or is it 390z) motherboard would not recognize the Samsung, but would recognize a Sandisk 1TB and Crucial 500GB. After wasting way too much time on BIOS settings, cables, PSUs, I bought another 1TB Sandisk and gave the Samsung to my son. Sometimes when you find yourself in a hole it's best to stop digging.
