  1. The situation is that I have a Saitek switch Panel. I have been using SPAD with it for several years without issue. Within the past month or so, all of my aircraft have stopped responding to the BAT switch, although they work fine with the ALT switch. Now, it might be simple enough to declare the BAT switch faulty, but if I use the Saitek FSX plug-ins, the BAT switch works perfectly. SPAD does display the toggle action in the setup graphic, so it does recognize the presence of the switch. It, or something, just refuses to process the toggle. So, I'm left with the question of why, despite having reinstalled SPAD, both versions 0.5.0 and 0.5.1 and doing a clean install of FSX. I can live with the Saitek plugins, but I would miss the more powerful SPAD.
  2. Nope, I meant Ultimate Terrain. The five areas (each a separate package) are; Alaska X, Canada V2, Europe V2, USA V2, and Tropical America and Caribbean V2, which covers Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean Islands. Ernie
  3. Here's a link to AI Boat Traffic for Dummies (Like Me!) by Doug Linn at RTMM.
  4. it may not be CP related. I have the same issue with my Saitek switch panel and the starter switch on my Carenado 208B. If I flip the switch, the starter switch gets activated, even though the toggle switch is set to 'View Camera 4' and this was before I installed CP. No clue as to why..
  5. Agreed. It's a great product, but it never goes on sale and at ~$150 USD , the five areas only cover a portion of the globe. Still, I would not hesitate to recommend it if flying is limited to one or two areas. Otherwise, IMHO, the current sale price of $42.37 AUD more than makes up for any of FTX Global Vector's perceived deficiencies. Ernie
  6. Agreed. Sometimes I want to fly and not spend 30 minutes doing preflight. The QW757 has been perfect for that. Ernie
  7. If you're referring to the developer, then it's because he has already responded multiple times in other threads that he will address it after the release of v1. Until that occurs, stick with Ezdok if you wish. Ernie .
  8. Another solution might be HID Macros. The app is no longer supported, but works well with FSX. I use a second USB keypad, and based upon the aircraft load a different profile to either control the 2-D panels, or GPS functions. Ernie
  9. IMHO and personally, I would never assign the RMB to anything. It's the default button for the Windows pop-up. I can imagine that CP preventing the popup 100% of the time is going to be difficult. Ernie
  10. Are you running P3D or FSX? I ask only because I have FSX on Windows 7, v0.1.712 and both the MMB View Selector and MMB Hold/Scroll option work, although I don't find the hold/scroll all that useful. I will say that I have found if I disable the MB Pan & Tilt feature that neither my MB View Selector or MB Hold/Scroll features work..:-( Ernie
  11. Dane, You received the same 'drive is not supported' that I got when I just tried the software. I was able to eliminate the message by clicking on the circle with the two arrows in the top left corner. That did a second search which yield a drive found and prompt to upgrade the firmware. Ernie
  12. Do you have the Samsung Magician 4 app? It came with my Samsung 850 EVO. Of course, if someone else installed the drive they may not have installed the app, or one didn't come with your drive due to compatibility. It's available here if you want it. The link contains the drives that it applies to. Ernie
  13. Good, then you're ahead of the game. I didn't have it installed the first time I ran the benchmark and was really bummed by the results.
  14. You're not likely to see blazing speeds, but one thing I learned with my Samsung SSD was that for it to run at advertised speeds I needed to have the Intel Rapid Storage Technology app installed. To see if it's needed run the Samsung Magician performance benchmark. Ernie
  15. Nice thing about creating something yourself.. You get to decide..
  16. Don't have the Mustang, so can't help much, but have you tried the 'Regenerate Airport Data' option to see if that does anything.. probably not, but... Ernie
  17. Select a preset, hold down the CTRL key, look on the right just before the red 'x'
  18. Take a look at the preferences. I think Keven added the option for CP to not pan when it was over clickable controls. That may be the default, but can probably be changed. Ernie
  19. Most recent (0.1.701) now defaults to off...
  20. Huge fan of it! Full disclosure; I was one of the beta testers, but even before that I did the donation thing for the freeware version. Frooglesim has a first impressions video. The developer is pretty responsive to user requests, so the feature list keeps growing. It's less then $14USD, but you'll get stuck with VAT in some other places. The older freeware version is here, but it lacks a lot of features of the payware version and is no longer supported or updated.
  21. My guess would be SIMstarter NG. I've never tried it in full screen, but I'm sure others have. Ernie
  22. I would recommend rebuilding the Little Navmap database. Also, make sure when rebuilding that you are pointing to the correct Scenery.cfg file. I've tried it with both the default EGKK and EGLL and with Ray Smith's freeware versions and in both cases was able to find both. Good luck, Ernie
