  1. That was the initial preview thread, their latest one which can be found in the PMDG area said that they don't know when, that they where waiting on a big bill to pay to LM and it would be done by end of year. Keep in mind it only "works" its not optimized nor, developed for P3D v2.x It will be a massive increase in performance once a high quality developer like PMDG takes advantage of P3D v2.x glory (I think this is why they said you will have to re-buy your license specifically to install it in P3D v2.x but don't quote me on that) I started a thread on the Estonian Migration Tools forum clearly going to some of the steps on getting it to work (id say) about %87. I am not promoting this work-around as a proper fix but never the less. Here you go!
  2. Isn't this thing just the FFTM Tweak with a UI? Id prolly stay away and play with the FFTM tweak and save myself $40
  3. R u running DX10 and have an ATI Card? This happened to me and I started a long thread here
  4. It would be great to discuss what users have done to achieve their personal best Vsync settings. Wether its NI or CP to see what really has worked for you the best till this point. Recently I tried the settings from a great topic that was started from Crauchan here. I got amazing Vsync results, however my AA and shimmering where simply intolerable since I wasn't using NI. I needed to go back to NI and take the hit on frames so I can get a good anti-aliasing. I played with my Vsync settings my best Vsync settings are currently: (NI) Adaptive and Force On In the P3D v2.2 menus I have Vsync active and checked triple buffer with unlimated frames. What settings do you currently have that achieves the smoothest sim for you? NI? Control Panel? Unlimited? I understand there's a lot of topics/discussions on this but not one where everyone just puts their best Vsync settings. It would be nice to organize it here. Thanks!
  5. Montreal, Canada -CYUL Heraklion, Greece -LGIR Toronto City, Canada -CYTZ Hamilton, Canada -CYHM Burlington, Canada -CZBA (where I got my PPL  ) Dublin, Ireland -EIDW Lisbon, Portugal (sort of) -LPPT Hope this helps, Im sure I can think of more but I'm on cell phone at the moment!
  6. A lot of people here need to take a visit to the support forums of LVLD.... You upgrade your VC to the latest offered on the forums (for license holders) You update to the new lights offered on the forums (for license holders) You buy TSS sound upgrade for the LVLD and you buy a McPhat HD Livery package for it.... After your complete these you have a pretty good and up-to-date addon. The LVLD is great on frames as-well & I still think its one of the greatest addons from a flight dynamic perspective that simmers have seen. Best thing also, works in P3Dv2 perfectly!
  7. UT2 with the updates and proper recommended settings is not like this...If you read around you will see good settings...right now Im at 58% Commercial and %10 GA on my traffic settings and achieve great realistic traffic. It was a good laugh though...I wouldn't say Im rolling on the floor laughing! Id still buy UT2 I recommend it the most out of any AI traffic addon and it works great with Vatsims' new vPilot client when you model match with it first priority.
  8. I think some issues are that P3D has a Vsync option interfering with NI...then we try to leave NI out of the equation and realize that AA is horrible in P3Dv2, then your back to square one. I still have not found the perfect settings, I am flying comfortably right now I guess but with some stutters and occasional frame drops. Hope Rob and the gang can clarify some things here for us! I am no expert either on Vsync.
  9. Rob of course your tests are top class and you have given everyone great information...I always greatly appreciate a beta tester's input on what they can actually make public! What I mean by premature is, take example FSX I wont do my testing with the default A321 or Cessna 172 (I may have when it first got released). I would look for a heavy addon like the PMDG T7 and go to a harsh complexed autogen filed area. A lot of the videos I see so far for P3D v2+ have been the F-22 taking off and flying runway heading with some bends (which this of course is okay for testing because up until now there hasn't really been a addon thats specifically developed for P3D v2+ thats heavy, the FSX ones just "work"). So like the video that Avidean took the time and effort to share with us, I doubt the smooth stutter free sim he recorded would be smooth and stutter free with the CS777 (I don't own it yet I am assuming its quite heavy based on your information you shared). Personally right now I can say I am 99% stutter free with great frame rates with the F-22 however, I didn't buy P3Dv2 for military simulation I bought it to simulate civil aviation. In addition a lot of the videos I have been seeing also have EZCA cam which of course can introduce stutters since the developer has not made a P3Dv2+ version. I know that I will always get great frame rates and stutter free flight when I fly the F-22 without EZCA cam...My goal is to have a nice stutter free sim with 30~ frames with a heavy vehicle addon + scenery so incase its overcast over Manhattan one day I can still fly! :P I hope 2.3 can actually make this happen! **Off topic** I am going to invest in a CS777. Is it really truly comparable for the most part to PMDG's? Ill take your word for it! B)
  10. The stutters didn't happen in the video but I saw a lot of shimmering and a very light vehicle without any gauges. My main concern about P3D v2.x is that up until now there hasn't really been a native HEAVY addon like a PMDG T7 was for FSX....Everyone is flying around with a default plane during these tests....In FSX I can get 70 frames with no stutters with the default plane. Do these test have premature written on them even a little?
  11. Im sure this is a long...LONG shot (lol) but has anyone ever successfully converted an x-plane 10 scenery into P3D v2 (or FSX) There is a freeware Toronto scenery for XP10 that would be lovely to have.
  12. Its not on Orbx....This doesn't happen in FSX. They confirmed on their support forums that it is not developed like that and in fact it is on the sims end. I have let LM know about this in their forums (with a couple of other people) but haven't gotten a reply yet. I think they know about it...However, there's nothing greater then a good old fashioned work around. Work around? That's the word of the day! Open up Vectors config and un-check bridges for all Roads under the transportation tab. This doesn't really bother me and can live with it until they fix this. I have yet to see these extrusion bridges since I did this.
  13. Im flying it right now...The new VA I started also has an HD livery for it (www.skygreeceva.com) I made the repaint. With the new cockpit textures that can be found on their support forums it makes it look pretty good (id say better than zinertek for FS9), along with the TSS sound packs....and the upgraded lights. It works great in my new sim platform P3Dv2.2! and its so light. I have no complaints about this bird.
  14. I don't want to be annoying because I feel for u, I really do! but you should have backed up some original files before dropping sweetFX in the main folder. If you need some default files from your FSX folder just let me know and Id be happy to help out. Or you can install FSX on a different hard drive or location (ie even an external drive) and re-get some default files that way. Actually looking back I had this happen to me as well and luckily I pressed ctrl+Z and reverted because I hadn't done anything else, Im pretty sure that won't be the case for you...I felt like it was a miracle lol... Good luck Dane
  15. Nope....excrusion bridges that i guess dont get decoded properly in p3dv2.x
  16. First thing that comes to mind is maybe something happened to your Acceleration install? Only Acceleration has the DX10 Preview option. Try just repairing your Acceleration install. Thats what I would do first. Also some other ways to confirm if in fact your running DX10 (without having it checked) are the VC loads the brown shaded color before it fully loads?
  17. I found the bug noted on the FTX Support forums for P3Dv2....Its a known bug that is up to LM to fix. Hope it does in 2.3
  18. I have brought down my settings a lot to see if they are still there....Its not a stress thing for me. For $100 + $70 for vector I shouldn't be seeing these. Anyone else?
  19. Anybody else seeing these at high flight levels? They are everywhere and look horrible. I have the following: FTX Global 1.2 BASE Vector 1.5 FS Global 2010 REX4TD My setup in a nutshell is: Default Nvidea Control panel with global perimeters just having vsync changed to adaptive I used to have NI Inspector and would also see this as well. I have tried to put down sliders and its still there....I also have a TBM of 40 and a FFTM or 0.13
  20. Same here.....its annoying Anything yet? my scenery.cfg looks intact, I was also getting some scenery Area erros however those where fixed by manually adding an empty "Scenery" and "Texture" folder in Addon scenery's
  21. I installed UT2 and updated it PERFECTLY with the migrate tool.....I assume it would work as well with just changing the path but don't quote me on it... It works great.....
  22. This week means by midnight on the following Sunday.
  23. Its kinda of rare I actually burst out laughing with these threads...but that was funny....wow. lolllll
