Another wrinkle is that you can potentially save hours and hours of downloading orbx if you point it to your old install location, it will copy over what is needed and download the rest. When i Went from V3 to V4 luckily I had kept my V3 intact and FTX central simply copied over the files it needed.

Sounds like a complete wipe of P3D and clean all remnants out is in order. Sux but sometimes there is no other option.

OS tweaks hardly have an impact on the sim that would be noticeable anyways. If you run a quad core you could try shutting off unneeded programs. You can also try running it in gaming mode but again hardly any diff on my rig.

Have you tried USGS? I know jpeg2000 is a pain to convert but it's something.

What resolution are are you using for textures. Also have you set "use high resolution terrain textures" checkbox to on and turned up the texture resolution to 7cm?

CEN4 is available on FTX central, it's one of their freebies. Most of the free airports are available already, just not the payware versions.

It's my understanding that Jetline installs the sims and optimize them for you as well and provide an elevated level of support. To some it's worth it. For me no , I build my own too.

When you start the android app there is an option where it says settings, look in there.

Yeah something broke in the past few days . It was working perfect on both my realair and my Milviz beaver now after a windows update ....broken. My friends went down as well. The GTN won't work at all even on my Milviz which " officially supports" V4 Hate this junk... Disabling security updates is not an option as I won't have any of my info stolen by the latest virus/ worm/zombie whatever.

Surprisingly I've had the best luck to reduce stuttering with no Vsync or framerate limiters at all. This is reverse of how it was on other versions.

It just started working lol...I toggled the aspect ratio and font scaling settings in the app and restarted it that seems to have fixed it...weird

Tried running as admin too but still no display. Tried various combinations of admin on P3D and vainterface but no go.

I can get it to connect on my Android phone but same thing, it just sits there on the connected screen on the phone and nothing updates. Are you guys runnning the VAInterface_2.24.0.11633.exe to start it or the original vainterface.exe that gets installed with the program? Edit: The buttons are fully functional but no update on the android phone...

Something is goofy between the methods of different devs. At KMBS in PMDG 737 NGX getting between 65-75 FPS with ASN running. Same situation With TFDi 717....30 FPS. Defaults running 90 FPS but other payware ( Carenado)running at 30's with weak amount of gauges. I know apples and oranges blah blah blah but a 40 FPS drop!!??? DIsabled Dynamic lighting too but I suspect it's a programming methods.

It's not a full fix though as once you try to select a diff GPS then it will disappear again from the config tool. We need to locate what the config tool is using to determine if the GTN's are installed. I suspect it is looking for the GTN gauge in the P3DV3\gauges folder and that's why those who have V3 and V4 installed have it working and those who only have V4 installed don't see it. It also explains why it works if you use the migration tool. SInce there are no registry entries for V3 it won't find it even if you try to make the folders manually.

1) Right click the icon on your desktop for config tool , pick open file location 2) Go into the Autoplay\Files folder and open the config.ini 3) change the 2 GPS entries: gps1.type=750 gps2.type=650 to whatever you want(650 0r 750) and save the file\ works with the T duke or Lancair

Using XP11 and V4 here. All the previous versions have since been relegated to the boneyard.
