  1. This works very well for me with a GTX 1060 card, and First Gen i7 processor, but fans are a lot noisier - presumably on graphics card.
  2. If you press the 'B' key on your keyboard, (for Barometric) it will reset the local barometric pressure.
  3. Started working after I left clicked, but now stuck on 49% with fs base 0.1.
  4. There needs to be some kind of learning centre - especially for those people who want to incrementally learn the further rudiments of flight in this sim. Also the particular characteristics of the different aircraft, thats important in relation to how each one of their autopilots work. Would be pretty tardy of Microsoft not to include this kind of info on this vast subject of aeronautics.😮
  5. In the most recent question & answer session that question came up, and the developers said that it hardly came up in the forums they read, so they aren't going to implement it. Although the A320's doors open for services.
  6. Just start up the MSFS icon a few minutes after each hour - that should solve the problem? 😊
  7. No Learning Centre shown there at all, or Help files, like you get with other programs!? Incredible if true......surely not? There should be lots of info on each particular aircraft, how to operate its autopilot, and a myriad other things as well really.🤕
  8. What about a 'Learning Center'? Or its equivalent? I haven't seen a Help icon or anything in any of the videos.
  9. Sebastian seemed a bit iffy on whether to accept there was a stability problem for some of the planes? I think sometimes they must feel some of these problems that pop up become like walls for them to struggle over. I suppose we could just turn on the legacy fsx physics while the aircraft is in cruise flight?😁 To smooth out its movements. Or would that be a cop out for those with 'realistic' standards?
  10. This is Airboyd's 4K video from the Seattle preview event back in 2019, he gives a very good description of the sim: He's also an ex-Airline pilot, and flight training tutor at one time I think, so he knows what he's talking about. Very good, interesting video. (especially with the pin sharp 4k views of Seattle)
  11. If you call up the VFR map by pressing the 'V' key on your keyboard, you can then zoom in on that map - to quite a detailed plan of the airport, with your aircraft's position shown there. I've been watching to many of these youtube videos! 😉
  12. I don't think you'll be able to pre-order it on steam, and have it installed ready to go several days before the 18th of August - like you would with the ms store version. I'm thinking of download issues after the 18th for a lot of you folks.
  13. New little videos there as well. There is a new article/interview on this site with Jorg Neumann: (nothing to do with Steam release) https://www.pcgamesn.com/microsoft-flight-simulator/planet-earth-simulation 😄
  14. In terms of updating the airliners that come/are built into MSFS, it would be nice to see the sub-variants of the base aircraft, such as the 747-800 Freighter, (which has a smaller sized upper deck against the passenger variant) or the Airbus A318. A319. a321, and so on. Maybe Asobo/Microsoft will make some extra airliners, or other GA aircraft as free updates to bring more people to the sim/game, or keep those still using it - jolly! They seem to have shown good faith with the community so far.....which is refreshing, so maybe we will get some freebies in later months or years. There is an excellent range of aircraft available - now with MSFS, when it arrives on the 18th of August, so people of all interests have a lot to choose from.
  15. Those Giraffes look to be swarthy barbarians!😅
  16. There should be a wind direction indicator I think, on the VFR map......it would help somewhat for landings. Maybe they'll be able to introduce that on a later build?
  17. There is a trick with Windows, where I have been able to get an extra 10 FPS with some games, and that is running Windows on a minimum boot. Explains how to do it here: https://www.thewindowsclub.com/what-is-clean-boot-state-in-windows Been using this off and on for years now, with Windows 7, and now 10. The only thing that wouldn't work I found was Photoshop, because of its licensing doo da. The new MSFS sim.....will that work with this method? Dunno, maybe. You must remember you have changed the state of Windows though, as any new program you install with Windows running as minimum boot - it might not install properly. Hope this helps some folks! 😊
  18. There's another few new screenshots at the top of the media section, here: https://www.flightsimulator.com/media/ shows the cabin of the Super King Air (350i) in one of em.....nice! 😊
  19. It occurred to me while seeing these updates over the past few weeks that there didn't seem to be any provision made for being able to examine a SID, or STAR plate, having watched the Feature discovery episode: 'Episode 8: IFR', I think it would be advantageous to all of us virtual pilots if a drawing/image/plate of the SID departure, or STAR arrival route could be seen as a tooltip window that would appear, when you hover your mouse cursor over the name of the SID or STAR from the drop down list in the Flight Planning Window. Otherwise, there will only be the technical name/label of the SID or STAR for us to choose from, and most of us won't have access to external data for those kind of Jeppesen/Aerad plates/little maps? I use the Autodesk Fusion 360 3D drawing program, and the tooltips in that show little visual descriptions or images of how a particular tool will work. Maybe Asobo/Microsoft could make that sort of helpful thing work?🙂
  20. Oh. I didn't know that, thought there was just one. Or maybe its one, but them using several identity's on bilibili?
  21. I thought Microsoft may have been able to identify the miscreant Chinese leaker by their Courchevel landing score? In the leaked video where they make a really nice landing at Courchevel, their score comes up, and it is: 1107785 PTS! If they identify them that way, then presumably they wouldn't have to put more moving watermarks into the games/sim's screen? Did they think of that?😉
  22. Two images by whitelight506 are the same, or seem to be the same, ones with the red Bonanza in them. Screenshots seem to be better quality this week I'd say.
