  1. Düsseldorf. It’s like that a lot. Wings to the wind, rudder to the runway.
  2. I don't know quite where you get that from. Looks great to me.
  3. I hate to wade into this, but your argument that this is an arcade game and not a simulator is truly preposterous. And I am by no means an MSFS word not allowed. I'm a real-world pilot, and I fly the 152 from cold and dark to cold and dark in the sim exactly as I fly it in real life. And it flies in the sim exactly like it flies in real life. I do absolutely everything manually, from changing radio and nav frequencies to sqwawk codes, to running checklists. The plane performs exactly as in real life. If you have a specific argument against anything I've said, I'm open to hear it. But you're honestly just being absolutely ridiculous.
  4. Just got it a few times. Thought it was me. Reset my router, etc. Seemed to fix it. I had never seen it before today.
  5. They won't get your message and they won't take you up on your offer.
  6. I take your comment the right way, and to me the answer is support and development. Yeah, maybe Asobo are overcorrecting some things. Maybe some things should be a bigger priority than others. And as you point out, the big changes are the world updates. But here's the thing: they're doing something. I was a big critic when the sim was released. It had so many problems. Those are getting fixed, slowly, by the devs and the community. But the sim is being developed. They clearly intend on supporting and improving it. For me, it's good for what I use it for. And the eye candy is just captivating. I flew over my mom's house the other day. It's there. The golf course next door, the holes are correct. At my home airport, you can see the yellow school busses parked in the lot next door. The Caribbean? Astounding. But at the pace they're going, in 6 months to a year this sim will be even more incredible. That's what they're doing better in my eyes: giving us hope.
  7. Are you talking indicated, true? 180 knots is max cruise. That's the absolute fastest it will go (TAS) in level flight. We've been over this on here before, but you're not going to get book numbers in real life or the sim.
  8. The bank button is for half standard rate turns, i.e. 1.5 degrees per second.
  9. Standard rate is 3 degrees per second. So 60 seconds for 180 degrees. Give a few for roll in and roll out.
  10. This is the reality. It’s wonderful that a lot of these guys are getting their PPLs having worked on the sim, but I wouldn’t leave it up to me to design a submarine simulator. All I know about submarines is that they go under water and that Tom Clancy books are cool. They could have saved themselves, and us, a lot of aggravation by having a lot more pilot involvement in the development of the sim. Any competent pilot could explain these issues that are taking months to resolve in a matter of minutes.
  11. Bottom line is they should be banking at standard rate, approximately 17 degrees, and rolling out 10 degrees or so before the desired heading. That would be more realistic.
  12. If by “improved” you mean “works”, then yes.
  13. Cracks me up that they updated Stewart airport. Being from the area, I guess I appreciate it, but it is so random.
  14. Well that was a really useful post. How about a single word even describing what the link is about and explaining it? The link doesn't even work.
  15. Did my first flight in Japan yesterday. The terrain data is so accurate you can follow roads through valleys in mountain ranges. I was very impressed. In the 152 on generic ultra settings.
  16. I’ll give it a go, but as far as I can remember I haven’t touched the keyboard controls.
