abulaafia,Why do you not simply point out any texture errors in the UT2 support forum where the developers are? Maybe make feature requests there if there is something you are not happy with... maybe we will ablige!Your choice of words and general tone in both forums make it appear you have some agenda, which I do not fully understand.
I am reporting errors in the UT forum - the closed one, as you notice, so as not to upset the riff-raff that hasn't paid for the product yet. I have no hidden agenda, sorry if my tone confused you. I am a bit on edge these days job-wise. I would absolutely LOVE to see UT2 succeed in replacing the old AI traffic system for FSX. I am very excited about the new approach, the FSX-compatible models, the cooperation with AIA and TFS ... it is high time for this attempt to integrate the AI traffic world and you have my full support.

I like the hidden forum technique, hide all the problems from potential buyers.

I for one would never buy a product from a developer that hides the problems from potential customers. In this case is a bit different, though, because they have the 30 day refund policy. But i sure would like to know what problems people are having before purchasing it.

Exactly. And for that reason, it's a non-issue.And, there's nothing preventing people posting problems outside that forum over here or elsewhere: Which I'm sure they would if the problems were bad enough.

And you are always welcome to post in the General area asking about any common topics that a new purchaser should be concerned with.

Dont you think that users would post on the different forums if the issues they were having were not being addressed or fixed? I could be wrong but just about every issue I have seen has been addressed or is being looked into. They are not trying to hide anything. FYI I just spent the last half hour just watching ai at KATL using Imaginesims version and didnt see one go-around and that was with a traffic setting of 80%. Every day I use this I like it more and more.

I'm telling you know that I have other traffic programs that have recently been released, but I uninstalled them and installed UT2 and it is a much better program than anything else out there. The AI planes look much better and it does not bog things down, even with a high percentage of AI planes present at an airport.Great program and I'm really enjoying it so far.Bob

Man this is a non discussion because they have 30 days money return policy if you don't like the product...How in earth could you go ever wrong then that puzzles me :( Just go for it :(

I would like to add my bit here. This may be a topic of discussion for many people simply because of the fact that not everyone has unlimited high speed download capability. In my case I have a 10 gig monthly plan and exceeding that reduces my Internet to a crawl. As well my ISP downloads from overseas are abysmal. (I will address this at the end of my 1 year conract). My wife and I share the limitation, and recently her bandwidth usage has gone thru the roof for University assignment requirements - this reducing my personal quota.Downloading a 1.4 Gigabyte file to purchase under the 30 day money back guarantee if all very fine if you download it, decide it is too much of a performance hit, or whatever and decide for now it is a no go. - it just doesn't give you back the 1.4 Gig quota. Having an open support forum is in my opinion a nod to the those who would buy the product anyway . To get into the forum and find those real issues to delay a decision until a bug is fixed, or to look at the forum and still purchase on an informed basis is so much more user friendly in my opinion.

I'm not quite sure what problems people are having with Vista and 64 bit. I'm running Vista 64 Ultimate and it is working perfectly.Great work UT2 team!

It is still a non discussion they have a general forum to visit only no product support since you don't are an owner yet :(If you don't like the product the loss is minimal instead of no refunds at all...By the way great product best traffic program for FSX.

Yes, I can clearly see you are not about to change your opinion. And by the way, I did purchase this product and do have access to the Support forum fully. I was being subjective in my comments. The only reason I raised this matter is that I believe it is more benign and more beneficial in the long run to have an open support forum. and not restricted to just those who purchase the product. I know other developers have gone down this route also including Flight One MD80 which I own and frankly the policy annoys me. In the case of the Flight One Classic MD80, debate raged inside their restricted support forum about memory requirements, performance and approach speeds that were an important consideration in my opinion to deciding to make a purchase of this product but you would have only seen this if you had already purchased the product. (Don't get me wrong here - the MD80 is a superb product and brilliantly supported - I just cannot fly it for any length of time, without getting Out of Memory errors, even with the /3gb USERVA=2560 mod). I have consigned the aircraft to circuits and approaches only. :(

It seams you too lol... npb here it's just a different opinion. I find it customer friendly there is a general forum open for the general public to ask all questions related for your purchase ...A support forum for owners only, they payed for it!So you can base you purchase decision on the general forum and afterwards always the option for refund.I think this is more then enough for a new user to base his or her purchase on no need for access to the support forum. It's just commonsense to do it this way if you don't get it, then develop yourself an add-on for FS and see how labor intensive this is andmaybe you be surprised that you won't offer a free ticket for everyone floating around. (maybe they even consider then for not developing anymore;-))Have fun.

I've had a few instances where my traffic did not load at all when I started a flight. I just sat there on the runway waiting for AI to appear....and nothing. It seems to do this randomly. Not sure what is going on.
