Sorry Scoob I got an e-mail from Wilco. As I understand it Feelthere is the developer and Wilco is a publisher, correct?
I bought it directly from Feelthere site, didn't had anything to do with Wilco. It's like with 747X, you can buy it directly from producer (PMDG), or you can buy it from publisher (Aerosoft).

I reloaded the ERJ, and opened an FS flight plan, then went to the FMC and selected Load FS PLN with no issues... so it will crash if you select load FS PLN and you haven't loaded the plan after you are ' in the cockpit ' so to speak. You can dim the MFD's .Aircraft 'feels' right to me... a worthy addition.I also fly the E-Jets and like them as well.

Well, the Wilco 737 has been a waste of money for me on Vista 64-bit. While they claim some people have gotten it to work, I've tried everything to no avail. Those people must have magic machines. And without support for 64-bit, this software is headed to the trash. Shame, really.I agree, in this day and age 64 bit should absolutely be supported. Everything is headed that way and 64-bit has been around long enough that there's no excuse. And with addons getting more and more complex, the less-than-4GB memory limit of 32-bit isn't going to cut it much longer. So, I guess I'll just patiently wait for the PMDG NGX which will certainly blow the Wilco version out of the water :(

TonyFSX is a 32bit application, Addons written for it will be calling on 32bit libraries until MS port FSX to 64 bit (dont hold your breath)Now I have the Feelthere 737 running quite nicely on W7 as is the Legacy 600, Shame you cant get it running but there you go.Now onto the Feelthere 737, which is from a time when 64bit operating systems were as rare as PMDG NGX's, Good addon in its day and as in the real world it will be blown away by a modern day 737NG , real world or simThe PMDG NGX will no doubt be better in all regards and I will be first in line (but i am not holding my breath on this one)But get this - It will still be a 32bit addon for a 32bit Sim.Here a little challenge for you: Get the PMDG 737ng running in FSX under a 64bit OS then you can moan all you want about the Feelthere 737 not being 64bit compliant (which it is on my machine at least) neither PMDG or Feelthere Knew about 64bit when they developed these Addonsbut only one of them made it into FSX and onto 64bit.

the aircraft and support are feelThere's. Mike Krawczyk (aka, some1) has it right: wilco is a distributer and will be the link for the CD/DVD release (look forward to seeing that in the electronics stores next year like many of the other feelThere releases).you can purchase the ERJv2 directly from feelThere.--to expand on an answer:
3- Does it have a functionning separate logo light?
logo light tied to landing lights--
4- Can it be fully operated from the VC?
there is no reason to 'enter' the 2D cockpit.--

1- Can the CRTs be dimmed? - Yes, some. Not down to completely dark.2- Does it have separate cockpit lightning, ie flood, instruments? - No, as far as I can see they are tied together.3- Does it have a functionning separate logo light? - No logo light that I could see (I only tried the 135). Tail remains dark with all lights turne on.6- Does it have seperate taxi and landing lights? - YesAs for the VC someone else will have to respond - I prefer to use the 2D panel, at least for the critical phases of the flight. The control columns will get in the way of some buttons, I think (the columns cannot be removed, but Vic wrote over on their own forum that they might look into that)Overall it is a very nice aircraft with very good systems simulation - easy to fly and does pretty much what you would expect. Not surprising, of course - Feelthere have been improving their Embraers incrementally over several releases.
Thanks Tom and Jim for your feedback, I appretiate you taking the time to answer my questions.Cheers and happy flying,Danny

Scoob,It appears the Wilco confusion is due to a big announcement on the Avsim front page that says, "Wilco Publishing and feelThere release their Embraer Regional Jet series" and has a link to Wilcopub.com that is selling a download version of your aircraft.I was originally confused by this, since I recall you guys saying that you're are not using Wilcopub for distribution this time around.

the question wasn't about distribution, it was about who's the 'owner' of ERJv2. the ERJv2 is feelThere's. wilco is a distributer and has taken the lead in advertising.again, you can purchase the aircraft directly from feelThere.--

This product is too pricey for me! Almost 50 bucks for an updated FS9 aircraft? No discount for previous owners of the old version?
the package includes -BOTH FSX native and FS9 native models (this is why, in part, none of the ERJv1 145 repaints will work)mcPhat liveriesTSS soundsweather radarTHREE aircraft: 135LR, 145LR and 145XRlook at (or fly in) the v1 or legacy panel and 'jump' to the v2 ... So far the new ERJ has worked great on my Windows 7 64 bit set up. The new model is great. FPS for me so far have been great as compared to the Flight 1 Mustang or even the LDS 767. Frames have actually been slightly higher than the 767. VC is great, beautiful high res, and having Call added to the program puts it a step above. Great plane!

HelloI know, Shocking isnt it.Devs releasing 32bit software for a 32bit Sim, whatever next.On a more serious note, I am running Feelthere 737 and Ejets without problem on W7 the Devs just do not officially support it that is all, No biggie
Commercial Jets aren't my cup of tea anymore, but out of fairness to developers who state they don't support 64 bit, one should consider that even with 64 bit O/S's out a while, there are still some buggy drivers for various bits of hardware that a simmer may use. Issues caused by those that manifest themselves in the middle of a final approach on a commercial sim product no doubt can cause a developer fits--is it their product or is it something else? They always get the grief that it's their product. While commercial jets aren't my cup of tea, I've bought six or seven payware titles for FS-X alone. On my 64-bit Vista O/S, not one issue. I don't even have plans on replacing my O/S. But I do understand making my living in the field of software why a vendor that doesn't have the resources of a large company may be shy about offering such support. Too much money to gamble? Maybe, but I see the developer's POV--at least they state their support policy up front.Regards,John

The problem is PEBKAC, really. FSX is a 32bit program and will always be run in the 32bit WOW64 emulator of any 64bit operating system. There is absolutely nothing any developer can do to "support 64bit" simply because there's nothing to support! Never has been, and never will be... :( There's no such thing as a "magic machine," but there is such a thing as setting up the system with appropriate permissions and environment.

Any developer can test their software on a 64-bit operating system and confirm that it works. Feelthere only support 32-bit operating systems at the moment, according to their website (although the ERJs work fine on my 64-bit system). They have said clearly that this is because they don't think they have tested the software properly on 64-bit yet to put it on the compatibility list, which is perhaps overly cautious but very honest. Some posters seem hell-bent on making this an issue, but there is no need to pour gasoline on the fire by calling them stupid.
