Well, if its harder on FPS, I guess I'll have to pass (http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showtopic=288838) on the 727. Maybe I'll look at the FS9 707...or how is the Legendary 727 (isn't that FS9 as well?)

Or maybe I'll settle for the Dreamfleet 727 for FS9.
I fixed it for you.So now go get it,it is the best 727 ever made, and CS cannot come close.seriously,if you think about buying a 727 for FS9 the name CS should not be in your head, trust me.

I think I'll go for the C-130. I wanted to buy it last time but missed the deadline.

How about 707 then so I can take advantage of the sale?

The 757 and 767 do holds. They're all great aircraft and if I can do the tweaks they can't be very hard. They are on the order of changing a "1" to a "0" in a file. They're the best graphically and seem very close to the real thing as far as my 757 / 767 flying experience goes, i.e. none. With my new computer they have just gotten better. The 727 is possibly the most beautiful aircraft in simdom, again, not being a 727 pilot ignorance is bliss for me.

Avoid the CS 757 like the plague. Tons of things wrong with it and the FPS are awful. The flight model is about as bad as an airliner flight model can get.I'd avoid the 727 too. The flight model feels quite wrong and there's plenty of small things wrong with it too. There are countless threads explaining the errors if you're interested.CS should stick with less-detailed but pretty aircraft, like the C-130 and their upcoming B-52 package. They don't put enough effort into making their planes accurate and easy on FPS. You CAN make a complex (and pretty) aircraft good on FPS...Any PMDG aircraft and the Level-D 767 destroy the CS aircraft handily, IMHO. :(
Then I'd say there is something wrong on your end, because the 757 with the exception of the flare on autoland I mentioned, and a little oversteer on the ground fly's very well. I've also read posts from real 757 pilots that say the same. With those problems, would I pay full price now? Probably not, but at this sale price point, you can't get better!!

Thanks

Tom

Al, what tweak did you do to the trim?

I know it is opinion, but the PMDG JS41 has the most realistic cockpit available, and the NGX is going to have the best cockpit period. PMDG is at the top of the game when it comes to the total package (features, FDE, failures, system simulation, performance impact, accuracy/bugs, and visuals).

Does anyone know if the 707 for FS9 will work on Windows 7 64?Cheers, Pete

True, but you do get what you pay for. The only Captain Sim product I didn't get for 9.99 was the 727 and its freighter expansions, but I paid for them with money that was given to me. Otherwise, I will not pay the full price for Captain Sim products because I believe them to be overpriced due to their lack of certain features/functions and bugs.

Al, what tweak did you do to the trim?
Easy, just follow what I posted on page 1. Actually I have used this tweak on other a/c that have overly sensitive trim. It's like needing trim for the trim, lol.
Al,You can tone the trim sensitivity by changing the value of this in each of your 727's folders cfg in the Flight_Tuning section. Like this:from[flight_tuning]elevator_trim_effectiveness=1.0toelevator_trim_effectiveness=0.3
