August 5, 201015 yr Greetings Everyone,I currently fly the Flight1 ATR-72 with FS2Crew and find it quite challenging. I'd love to get back into manual navigation again with a single prop that has dual VOR/DME and ADF capability. I'll be doing NBD, VOR, and ILS navigation. I'll also be doing waypoint fix using dual VOR/DME, and timing. Such as IAP/FAP to MAP. I'm not interested in the stock aircraft, so I'd love to hear from single prop pilots and what you fly, and how you like it. I did try the Piper Dakota, but it doesn't trim well, and the views seem to be off. That was a real dissapointment to me. Anyway, I'd love to hear your suggestions.Thanks,-MattP.S. I forgot to mention it should be something that was built for FSX. The ports from FS2004 seem to have problems. It's like buying a used car with a bad muffler. (No intention to insult anyone)
August 5, 201015 yr Probably the best GA aircraft out there is the RealAir Duke B60. However, it's a dual prop aircraft. Best regards from RelaxX
August 5, 201015 yr Probably the best GA aircraft out there is the RealAir Duke B60. However, it's a dual prop aircraft.Yeah my thoughts too...If you absolutely need a single maybe the Carenado F33 Bonanza or Eaglesoft CirrusOh, I almost forgot! The RealAir SF260 would fit your bill:http://www.realairsimulations.com/flash.ph...e=sf26007_intro | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
August 5, 201015 yr Take a look at the Lionheart Creations Epic Dynasty LT or the Flight1 Pilatus PC12.I don't know if they do exactly what you require but they certainly handle auto pilot ILS etc and are both boooooteeeeful!http://www.lionheartcreations.com/Epic_LT.htmlhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=87hZstAy13khttp://www.flight1.com/products.asp?product=fsxpc12 As you can see the Dynasty has modern Avionics compared to the Pilatus. The Pilatus PC12NG has similar modern avionics to the Dynasty but no developer is brave enough to impliment it yet. We can but hope!

August 5, 201015 yr If you still fancy a Piper instead of the Dakota, you could consider the Piper PA-32R-301T Turbo Saratoga. Caranedo and FSD make FS versions of it, the FSD one has a choice of glass cockpit or traditional steam gauges. A turbo with a 14,000-plus service ceiling, which gives it 160 mph cruise, 190 flat out, which isn't astonishing performance, but it can make well over 1,000 fpm climbs up to cruise, so it's a decent IFR aircraft for bigger airports where there are minimum rates of climb for departures, despite being a single prop, especially since you'll not be loading it with passengers. My personal favourite however, and strongly recommended, is Lionheart's Bellanca 17-31TC 300 Super Viking. It has a 20,000 feet service ceiling and can cruise at well over 200 mph, also managing about 1,200 fpm rate of climb, which makes it a seriously good aircraft for IMC. It's also a very pretty aeroplane and has a nice VC. As if all that wasn't enough, it also flies beautifully.Al Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here

August 6, 201015 yr You cant go wrong with anything from Carenado, Sibwings and Realair, although probably the Carenado FSX Beech Bonanza is probably what you after (after they release the SP3 update)
August 7, 201015 yr I am partial to the Carenado Cessna 172. Very true to the real 172 and is a "hand flyer". If you want to do sightseeing on autopilot then my vote is for the Eaglesoft Cirrus SR22's. Jim Atkins
August 7, 201015 yr Anything that comes from Carenando, but I'd go with their C152 anyways. It is currently the most accurate C152 simulation of all time, even when compared to the one by Flying Club (Well, it is payware, but the cockpit is just too much of a freeware quality and I've seen better from the freeware ones by FSTutorial).Dave "It goes without saying that when survival is threatened, struggles erupt between peoples, and unfortunate wars between nations result." -HIDEKI TOJO
August 7, 201015 yr I vote for the Flight 1 PC-12 also. It will do anything you want and still has the capability to fly high and fast. Thank you.
