August 7, 201015 yr Robert just download the file it lets you try out the scenery for about 5min I think after that the buildings and all the detail are gone but it gives you a good idea on frame rates usually fsdt try there best to get the best performance out.Cesar, Thanks for the reply, I checked the site out after I posted and realized they had a trial to try it out. I may add a few of their other titles if I like it as much as I expect I will.Best, \Robert Hamlich/

August 8, 201015 yr I had framerates in the twenties, but had the sticking. I have an NVidia 8600 GT. Kind of leads me to believe that maybe a stronger card would help. I still enjoy the package. Amazing detail.
August 8, 201015 yr As much as fsdt optimized the airport for performance. it will still suffer it depending on your hardware. due to the fact that its a huge airport and the amount of traffic.I'm getting better performance with FSDT's version than with the default version. I'd say this is a job well done and blows away any naysayers... August 23, 201015 yr Kudos to the FSDreamteam - not only a superb effort but backed with prompt support. There was an issue with AI aircraft "floating" above the ground and in less than a day it was corrected.Bravo to the entire team!! :( :( :( B) B)The scenery might be great but the customer service for me has been terrible. I had a problem with my download. I go to redownload with the link provided in the order. Says I exceeded my download limit???? I downloaded once. So I send an email as it says to do. No reply. I try to join the FSDT forum and I'm waiting for Admin approval. I send another email. No Reply. I send another Email. No Reply. I go to join the FSDT forum again and again have to wait for admin approval. This is all I get when I log in "An Error Has Occurred! Your account is still awaiting admin approval." I called Eseller who distributes the software for FSDreamteam and get a voicemail. It has been over 12 days now. Today I filed a dispute with paypal. I'll purchase the Blueprint KDFW since they seem to take care of customer issues. 4 emails a phone call 2 forum requests and now two AVSIM messageboard posts.
August 23, 201015 yr Commercial Member I obviously have to reply, since this was a clear case of being unfairly accused of having "terrible" customer service, just becase this user had probably issues with email, since we haven't received any emails from him, the first one we got arrived yesterday (Sunday evening at about 20:00 PM, our time), the 2nd one arrived today, both emails have been replied to.Email MIGHT not always work, that's why we have a forum and, as a last resort measure, our phone number is on the printable email invoice (but Jeff chose to phone to Esellerate, which doesn't do tech support to end users, other than support with payments)Also, we have only 1 forum registration request from him, made today, and he was activated 5 hours later, so he had a chance to post on our forum, to that we immediately replied as well. So, the problem is surely sorted, it was just a misunderstanding Jeff had with our sales method, which works with a freely downloadable Trial version, while he was probably trying to retrieve the download from Esellerate after purchase site, that doesn't have any download from our products, since they are all available on our main Web site instead, without any download limitation.Unfortunately, for some reason, his past emails never reached us, only todays emails arrived, both have been replied to, he also registered on our forum today (we haven't found any other registration request from him) and he has been replied too as well. August 23, 201015 yr Well there you go...I do have to say that, while I have never need support from them, Umberto is very active in the support forums and an issue never goes more than a few hours without an answer. Matt L.
August 24, 201015 yr Umberto did respond this afternoon. I didn't know that you could download the trial and add your key. Umberto and I went thru probably 20 emails this afternoon though. The intitial problem was with Norton 360 finding a virus in the download that caused the intial corruption. The secon thing is the FSDT KDFW scenery installer adds files to the modules folder and the registry that were not removed after the running uninstaller. I had to find these files in the module folder and delete them and then go thru the registry with regedit and find everything from FSDT and Esellerate, then delete them. (Don't do it unless you know how) I then reinstalled and activated with my key and all is well. Umberto said he didn't get my emails and we all know about spam filters and junk mailboxes. I hate dragging people thru mud on a forum and have lurked here since FS95 and the old Project Freeware Days. I was frustrated that I couldn't get any support. I apologize to Umberto and the FSDT Team for posting on here and am greatful that he seen the post and was able to assist. On a review note the scenery is stunning!!!!! Highly recommended. Only downfall is the installer making registry changes and adding files to the modules folder. I'm sure this is done to combat piracy though.Thank you Umberto!!!!
August 24, 201015 yr All,Knock the horns of one of them thar steers and throw some steaks on the grill - will ya - me an this here Cheyenne are head'n to TEXAS... :Big Grin:Regards,Scott
August 24, 201015 yr I thought only people in Philly say "youse." I thought you Texans did the "ya-all" thing! :( Looking at this thread has convinced me to give the FSDT KDFW a try. I love their sceneries but had assumed that an airport this big and busy would be too much for my system to handle. Now I'm off to download the trial version and give a try. Now what's the right expression as I ride off into the sunset? Yee haaaa! :(
