PMDG 737 NGX: PMDG's attitude toward realism

Featured Replies

Well, I mean, alpha stage means that they are adding new features, beta stage means that all features has been added and now there's only bug squashing left. A release candidate is technically a beta too, but you very rarely see only one release candidate in big commercial projects. Releasing multiple RCs will surely take more than one or two weeks

Luca-The PMDG 747-400 for FS9 was in beta for approximately five months. The PMDG MD-11 was in beta for approximately three...Neither statistic is valuable in this case, however, as we have a completely different testing process now than we did for those projects.

Does this mean we can interpolate the data and conclude that the beta testing for the NGX will be (hmmm...let's see...."approx five months"...."approx three months").....uh, ONE MONTH?? :(

LOL RPRIEVER. I don't think he gave us the data so we can project our own conclusions. Although I hope you are right about the one month thing. I really think they are playing the cards close to the chest (at least that is what I am hoping). The VC shot looks pretty darn advanced at this stage of the game. All we can do is hope though.

Your logic here is flawed. *jokingly* The reduction from 5 to 3 months means a 33% reduction. 33% less from 3 months would mean 2 months. Not one :)

Just curious,,, every team seems to have a team lead, so who would be the master on the beta team?

Today (It is today now), there is a 1.235% chance of it being released. Next month that bumps up to 2%. On December 30th, there is a 50% chance. What that means is that no matter what day it is released (minus 12/31) you have beaten the odds by having its release date happen when it is less than 50% probable. So be happy!

Ouch... well at least time seems to pass very fast while you are in beta stage... :)

After a comprehensive analysis I concluded that the beta test will be 1 month and 1 day (plus a few hours)... Big%20Grin.gif

Ok I actually thought I was not into this type of posts but I have to correct you in this case (or offer an alternative scientific approach, so to speak :():The reduction from 5 to 3 months means a 2 month reduction. 2 months less from 3 months would indeed mean 1 month. LOL :((sorry, couldn't resist)sig.gif(but as we all know, it will enter Beta bug-free, so the Beta will in fact last only 24 hours maximum) Big%20Grin.gifBig%20Grin.gif
