November 12, 201015 yr As the OP of this thread, I think it's now about time for a little back tracking...First off, re my comments about the flight model not feeling smooth... Apologies to both Qualitywings AND the poster who suggested I may have a problem my end. CORRECT! I have now found and corrected three hardware controller conflicts between my X52 and flight yoke.As far as the flight model goes, I now concur 100% with those stating it to be 'silky smooth'. Without doubt, more so than the CS model too. Quite why those conflicts didn't affect my CS model, or any others for that matter, I have no idea...I still prefer the CS graphics, but hey, we can't all be perfect eh? :(Glad you got is sorted out! Thanks again,Nick
November 12, 201015 yr Why the hell people keep comparing this to level D! wow! come on guys some of you have been here long enough, too know how things work. it was never built that way. this is not directed towards anyone in particular. Darryl, I didn't see Corey's response as attacking you personally. there is enough info in the manual screenshot's video's on youtube already available. I already knew what I was getting and I'm happy with it but if you have these many doubts I sincerely doubt you would want to buy it. I really enjoy your screenshots and I can feel the frustration that you have with other developer's.Dougal, I honestly like both virtual cockpits. :( Cesar Martinez AMD 7800X3D RTX5080 NZXT N7 B650E | G.Skill 32GB DDR5 Samsung 980 Pro 2TB | Crucial MX500 (2×) | Crucial P3 Plus Monitor: Philips Evnia 34M2C6500 QD-OLED
November 14, 201015 yr Okay, using the new gauge Ernie provided, I have not had overspeeds in several flights, with two exceptions: the first one, then the last one. The common issue seems to be a particular weather program. So I am getting real happy with my 757 now that I am figuring out what might be causing my problems.
November 17, 201015 yr I agree 100% . I purchased it a few months ago and parked it in the hangar due to my disappointment. What get me is all the missing systems! So I will keep my future money for level-d and PMDG aircraft! So, it's not worth £30? Dave Taylor
November 17, 201015 yr So, it's not worth £30?Not to him but he should have downloaded and read the manual this was never made too the level of pmdg or level D. it even says on the product page Mid-Level systems programming.Okay, using the new gauge Ernie provided, I have not had overspeeds in several flights, with two exceptions: the first one, then the last one. November 17, 201015 yr Author I've just spent ALL MORNING trying to nail the 'Toncontin' approach with this bird :( After getting my initial problems sorted with this aircraft, I'd say this is probably one of the best mid-range aircraft addons I have (and I now have 35!)If you REALLY fancy a challenge, get yourself this baby and the Toncontin Airport addon (got mine at SimMarket) and try some approaches. The inertia that's modelled in this aircraft when trying to straighten up for final approach is fantastic. You REALLY have to stay one step ahead of the airplane. Just how I expect it probably is in reality?======================================================================================================Mods: Maybe you can change my thread title to 'NOT Disappointed'? I've not tried that approach, but I spent a few happy hours recently shooting the equally hairy approach into Funchal, Madeira. Trying to complete that tight right turn onto RWY 05 and straighten up without sliding sideways into the mountainside is a challenge indeed. The QW757 deserves to be very popular, in my opinion.Ian
November 17, 201015 yr Please STOP doing that :(I have high hopes for QW and really look forward to their long and prosperous tenure as a good 3PD. However, they feel a little "unripe" at times and this public correction from Corey to Emil is a good case. That correction should be PRIVATE.Also, if what Emil suggests is true, I actually applaud him (on a personal level): service is a two-way street when trouble-shooting is involved. Even if we, the customer, get to feeling "high and mighty" regarding a bug, the actual product of interest won't fix itself without dialog between developer and customer - add-ons for MSFS constitute too much of a cottage/craft industry to be using corporate customer service structures and concepts.I'll grant Emil his humanity in his response "your loss," when in fact it is a mutual loss. QW has the potential to blossom in a landscape that is SORELY lacking: high-quality add-on airliners. Feelthere is just too dysfunctional, LevelD is on the slow boat (like those who build a kit-plane on weekends - it's coming along, but its not production), Airsimmer seems to be comatose, Flight Sim Labs is coming up, and PMDG continues to reign supreme. So, my point is that we NEED a functioning a growing QW. I believe that QW will outgrow their "Complexity Simplified" perspective and get past using this marketing perspective as a hedge in case they were incapable of playing with the big boys. The good news is: they are capable of playing with the big boys. Their model is superb and Ernie's involvement ensures that they'll be able to get "complex."Everything about Emil's post reads pretty "right on" to me save for the last bit. He needs this customer and should have suggested to him that the customer's departure would represent a mutual loss...What all of these shops need is a good spokesman, and that's not typically the spokesman they usually rely on. I've found that the BEST posts come from the actual developers - typically, those that have to write code:At feelThere, that'll be alex oftenAt Eaglesoft, that'll be Fr. Bill oftenAt QW that'll be Ernie oftenAt PMDG that'll be a guy like Vin Scimone oftenJust a monthly or quarterly digest from these guys would probably be all these companies need in terms of the nitty gritty. In any case, I suppose support-by-forum has some drawbacks. Sometimes it seems like your doctor is trying to assess and diagnose you out in the waiting room where every other patient can chime in and correlate your exam/diagnosis/treatment against their own malady - chaos.Keep your head up QW, I'm rootin' for you. Several airlines do fly the B75 into this airport. Limitations include daytime VFR only, high minimums due to the LDA approach, and the need for flight-crew to be current on operations at the airport. There is a long stepped approach to the LDA intercept, beginning at the RLG VOR. I've not flown this approach in r/l (the C172 won't get over those mountains from the Denver area), but have sat in at Denver TRACON where the Eagle Approach/Departures is located (as are most approach/departure facilities in CO). I would second the info from others that this QW bird does those difficult airports justice! Thanks, Bruce. ASEL, Instrument. KBJC, Colorado.
November 18, 201015 yr LFLJ-Courchevel & a 757?????Really :(Looks like a typical 757 airport to me.If you can turn the lady on that small plate, you can even try to takeoff there. Here's another landing thereI'm just joking. I'm sure he mixed up the letters or something. Don't get me wrong, no offense intended.
November 18, 201015 yr Author Hey TimLooks like I have the same overspeed problem.I've posted on the QW forum so should get a response soon. What caused it on your setup?
