December 10, 201015 yr When a USPS package arrives in the UK....who takes it from Stansted? Just wondering as I have never seen a USPS courier in London.USPS, outside the US territory, has agreements with "local" couriers. So, when the parcel arrives at Stansted, it will be picked up by an English courier which will complete the delivery to destination Here in Italy, USPS has a commercial agreement with SDA courier. So when someone in the USA ships to me something, I will receive the parcel by an SDA employee.I'm a virtual pilot, but in the real life I manage a courier business. December 10, 201015 yr When a USPS package arrives in the UK....who takes it from Stansted? Just wondering as I have never seen a USPS courier in London.Well, if I go to a post office in the US and send you a letter (or a parcel) it arrives in your mailbox/doorstep somehow, right? Michael J.
December 10, 201015 yr Viola! Ha ha...They're here!I ordered mine on Monday, they didn't ship til thursday. On Thursday, the shipping method changed from USPS Priority to FedEX 2day. (I don't know if this is PMDGs doing or if this was Jetpubs. Doesn't really matter.) They got here today. Technically that is a day earlier than it was supposed to be since it shipped yesterday, with 2 day delivery it should've got here tomorrow. But get this:The FedEX lady got to the door, rang the bell, I came to the door and she is looking at her handheld device very intently. I hold out my hands for the package. She looks up at me and doesn't hand me the package. I ask her what the problem is. She says "this wasn't supposed to be delivered today". I said "Yes I'm aware of that, but I was tracking it, and it just made it to the sorting facility early enough to make the truck." She says, "Yeah, but its not supposed to be delivered today. We'll deliver it tomorrow". I then had to argue with her to convince her that that was my property, and its here now, why can't you just leave it here! She kept saying "because its not supposed to be delivered today" SO WHAT! ITS HERE! WHO CARES IF IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE DELIVERED TOMORROW, ITS HERE NOW! I think she finally got tired of going around in circles wih me so she ended up leaving the package, but she was a total jerk! Anyway they're in my possesion now and that's all I care about. I'm so excited!HA HA Thank You PMDG!! You're the best! Ethan Rayhorn My Office: (Taken at FL410)
December 10, 201015 yr Well, if I go to a post office in the US and send you a letter (or a parcel) it arrives in your mailbox/doorstep somehow, right?Well, not always actually. I've had some things lost in the post [cough] stolen [cough] before, my Go-flight MCP in fact. But Parcelforce, while not perfect, are better than some. Thanks for the info guys. Chris Farrell

December 11, 201015 yr I think you are right, in that it is a little risky, It did cross my mind that the NGX might be a resource hog and without actually flying it, despite the marketing, there is no way of knowing. I bought the manuals early as a Christmas treat so in worst case scenario at least there is a hard copy to reference/gain knowledge. How useful will it be? don't know yet!! Chris Farrell
December 11, 201015 yr Who in their right mind would want to spend money on a product manual which product has not been released Nothing like a first post to antagonise people but (1) doubting their sanity and (2) questioning their right to spend their money in the way they see fit. William Hall
December 11, 201015 yr Who in their right mind would want to spend money on a product manual which product has not been released.... Briz RauolI would. The manuals are about 3000 pages, and if I had the money to spend on them right now, I would very much like to sit home and learn everything about this plane before it gets released. December 11, 201015 yr Nothing like a first post to antagonise people but (1) doubting their sanity and (2) questioning their right to spend their money in the way they see fit.+1 Also, as someone who owns them, I can tell you that even if the NGX doesn't release, which it will, but even if it didn't these would be one of the best, if not the best investment I've made regarding flight simulation. They bring joy reading them and the information is useful no matter what. If you're skeptical, please see my very in depth review of the manuals. I wrote it late last night. http://forum.avsim.net/topic/320780-in-depth-review-of-ngx-manuals/page__pid__1890391#entry1890391 Ethan Rayhorn My Office: (Taken at FL410)
