I'd try to get the GTX460 if you can swing the cost - it's much more powerful than a GTS series card.

Thanks Ryan, I'll look into the cost difference. Bear in mind that I'm in "rip off Britain" where we pay, at the very least, in pounds what you pay in dollars for computer equipment. However, it may be more than I need as I don't play any other games and I'm just doing this to get the 1GB of video RAM that you say is needed for the NGX.Iain Smith

Why do you want to know that? If PMDG will create a new topic, then you will see it.

If people think its nuts with trolls now wait until its beta and beta members are allowed to post screen shots, this place is going to be trollopolis. I really wish PMDG would do a silent beta and just release when its ready, no point in dragging this out, we know its going to be good.

Well Alex, according to the Nvidia website it performs significantly better than my present 9600GT and that works fine for me. The GTX 460 is some 60% more expensive than the GTS 450 here in the UK.Perhaps if I wait until the NGX is released the price will have dropped.Iain Smith

It will be better than the 9600, that card is quite old, remember there have been the gx2's 200 400 and 500 series since then,If you cannot afford, the GTX285 are still very good for the price

I would be surprised if they didnt create a new thread for that, and I would be even more surprised if the forum doesnt get filled with 10 identical threads where people express their joy about it finally reaching beta. You will also see similar amounts of threads about it in your VA forum and of course in the general FSX forum on avsim. Simply put, if youre into flightsimming then there is no way that you wont hear about the NGX entering beta

This is actually something I was wondering about the other night. How long will it be until Boeing ask PMDG to model some Level-D Class simulator systems? The newest breed of CAE NG sims are truely, mindboggingly amazing but I'm sure PMDG could do a better job!!
