Re: NGX impending release: Are we there yet?

I don't think it will much longer :( Quoting Mr R "When we hand this to our beta team, we are looking for their feedback on how it runs, whether they see anything missing during installation, if they have any unusual performance issues, etc...In other words: The beta team will be testing an airplane that already meets our standards for release... There won't be much for them to "test" per se... So unless something REALLY bad happens when we roll it out to them, Beta testing will be an extremely short affair.."Hopefully it will be Beta very shortly and then we will on our way :( Any news is good news

What's more, this effect can not even be simulated in certified Level-D simulator. Actually, radio altimeter failure DOES NOT automatically cause auto-throttle commands RETARD mode. This is very rare and doesn't happen all the time.
But there must be some triggers which makes the Autothrottle going in the RETARD mode. Does someone know them?

Greetings from the 737 flightdeck!

holy crap - we just had an earthquake here (5.4 magnitude) - does this mean that the 737NGX has hit beta?

AFAIK Boeing has made adjustments to prevent this happening in the future...

The correct answer is:Ryan has stated a couple of times now that they are going to TRY to implement the shared cockpit function but that there's no guarantee.

I have dreamed about PMDG tonight, too :Shocked:But not about the NGX: PMDG was releasing an Apollo Space mission simulator!!!And that was because they made in the 60ties a little controlling console for the NASA for coupling maneuvers...crazy, crazy...

oh again with the dreams, well I had one to. No offense to the pmdg team but the dream was the pmdg ngx was a complete failure. When it was released as soon as I downloaded it, there was no VC and the 2d panel was awful and the sound was worse than the default 737. I was really happy when I woke up and hope it does not come to reality Shocked.gifJoe Barton

Thnx kensei. All I can say is considering the wait I expect nothing less.

I had a dream last year that PMDG released the NGX for a game I own called rollercoaster tycoon 3. The reason was so it gives good performance. It was totally useless though as you couldn't leave the "park" in the base game, and had to build all your own scenery. Don't think I'm sad and this is all I think of. I often dream about things that happen during that day, and it was a day when an update was released and I played the rollercoaster game.
