I have heard horrible things before they pretty much erased their forum, it was so bad with complaints, but if they are still using flight1 for sell it you will have 30 days to try it and fly it, if you don't like it you can get a full refund.

Yes and its just as well you can get your money back, it looked promising but was a massive let down filled with empty promices and bugs. But as Mr Speaker said, you can get a refund

Avoid the Airsimmer Bus. So much potential, and so much of a let down. It would not be so bad if it were not for the CTD issues. That makes it a show stopper.

Hi, thought I would jump in since I am currently providing technical support over on the Airsimmer forums. As other have mentioned some users are still having problems with CTD’s the bulk are Vista/Win7 64 bit users but it seems to be very hit and miss so no way to tell if you will have issues.Personally I have never had major issues, any problems I did encounter I was able to resolve from the knowledge I have gained over the years using FS. The bulk of problems I see on a daily basis can be easily fixed as long as the user is willing to get help, for example checking all flight control Axis is correctly setup to work with the FBW, AIRAC is updated, fsuicp has the correct smoothing settings applied, loading the default Cessna, and ensuring you have a smooth clean system running FS. System logic, realistic braking logic, FBW logic including Normal, Alternate and Direct law, Flare & ground law are in place, and you can test aircraft behaviour straight from the FCOM. So my advice to anyone on the fence, if you have tried all the tweaks and are still getting CTD’s or FBW problems then ensure you get a refund before the 30 day’s is up, the Aircraft is still in development to work across all platforms. Here’s a few vids of when it is working well on someone’s system

Well, but apart from the CTDs, the AS bus is a basic one, light years far from the complexities of the real bus. Therefore I don't see the point in flying it, as far as one is interested in flying something that resembles the real thing... Much better flying for example the Maddog, that comes very close to the real MD82...

Despite what Rob said - I have much repesct for what he is doing over at the AS forum - I still wouldn't go the Air Simmer A320. The Air Simmer Team has proven that they are anthing than reliable or even communicative regarding their product.I would opt for another product or wait until another developer or the Air Simmer Team themselves finally release an advanced version of an Airbus A320 series.I am normally not that harsh with my comments, but being part of the Extended Blabla Team and not getting anything for my money nor hearing from the team doesn't really make them trustworthy.Christian

I got fed up with Wilco's, and I am thinking of buying Airsimmer. Is it any good?
What problems were you having with Wilco's bus ?? Tristan

Well, the CG is missed up and the 6000 FPM dives and climbs. Trust me, I like it and I want it to work. I even bought the evolution upgrade.

Really? By the same company/people? Please don't misunderstand, I'm not saying you aren't telling the truth, I'm just curious. If we were talking in real life, face to face, the tone of my voice and expression on my face would indicate 'interested surprise' - if you see my point?

Over 10 years here and AVSIM is still my favourite FS site :-)

Hey, Are you a member of the tech support forum Gavin? Anyway I'm not here to get into arguments with anyone, I like to come to the Avsim forums to kick back relax and read about what's going on in the FS world.I posted here to try and give an honest unbiased view of the situation, as mentioned I have this aircraft operating CTD free and have been offering assistance to users on the tech forum for a while now, I was recently asked to come on board full time and have now had a chance to see the big picture from both sides.Yes it is being worked on and a plan to release the advanced version and updated basic is still top priority, all system logic is in place and coded (I now have access to the advanced) And in response to the person that said the aircraft is not accurate, apart from the missing INIT-B,full predictions and Ability to conduct ECAM actions all system and FBW logic from the FCOM is already in place in the basic.Regards

After half a year of flying exclusively the iFly 737NG (yes, it IS such an outstanding product) I finally started missing a change. It has been 1.5 years since I got my Flight1 AirSimmer refund. Madly missing an airbus (Wilco/FeelThere has never fully convinced me to like it), seeing the 1.3 patch and learning Rob became a support power for AS A320, I decided to do it again.I bought AirSimmer for the second time and for the last few days I have been tweaking and flying only the bus. Now (thank you iFly!) I am a VC-only flyer and I must admit the Airsimmer virtual cockpit is the best I've ever flown (comparable to iFly's, and light years ahead of Wilco's). Looks and works great and I have good performance in it.I have made five flights so far and had a CTD only once. But it could be predicted as I did something people associate with CTD's (applied a DIR TO in the MCDU).I did have some problems, especially with my controllers (you know the disadvantage of Airsimmer's A320 of not being able to use FSUIPC for exes assignments). But the older I am, the more patient I get (at least in the sim).So after some thorough tweaking, configuring and calibrating, my controllers (stick, pedals, throttles, spoiler, reversers and gear lever) are working as they should. The only thing I couldn't make working is the flap lever in my remade CHTQ.The last flight I had on previous night, DLH 239 from Berlin Tegel to Munich, was very enjoyable and gave me no serious trouble. I had a great manual (AP off, THR on) landing on 26R.I need some more flights to have a concrete opinion. I feel no stress as my decision was well thought (18 months is enough) and I still have the no-pain 30 days refund from Flight1 in case things go really wrong. What I can already say now about using this addon at the moment, my dear friends:- it is essential to take care of thorough assigning and calibrating all control devices- it is essential to have a GOOD READING on Airbus FCU, MCDU and flight techniques as trying to drive this plane the boeing-way will lead you to nowhere (thinking it is just broken software)- it is recommended (at the stage the product is now) to apply a few tweaks to make the plane behave better (Rob promised to collect them all for an easy access)I am absolutely NOT trying to say this product is perfect or all bugs are trumped-up. I did collect some remarks, doubts and questions during my few flights and will pass them to Rob to think about.I do not know whether this product will indeed be finished, although there are some hints it might be, but I decided that for 25+ euro (I paid that much for dinner last Saturday) even the stage it represents now will satisfy my strong need of playing with an Airbus. After watching a few airbus cockpit videos from Pilot's TV (highly recommended!), I felt I was fed up with waiting.Let's be clear about something: there is no good FS9 airbus on the horizon and will probably never be. FSLabs are working on one, but nobody knows if they succeed (remember those who did not?) plus it is said to be FSX only.I am staying with FS9 and I am in love with Airbus (Boeings, Douglases, Fokkers, Embraers, CRJ's,Tupolevs, Dashes too, of course), so I have a choice: to have an airbus as it is or not to have any.I am neither recommending this product nor discouraging anyone from trying it.After seeing this thread I simply felt a need to share with you, guys, what I've been doing in my spare time for the last few days. :wink:PS: And I've got soooo much space on my PC desk now since the CH yoke went for holidays in the wardrobe! :(.......Some Airbus checklists, airport charts and loadsheets are lying in front of me. Did I mention a (half empty) bottle of cold beer?

I have to agree with a lot of what Rafal said. WHEN this aircraft works, it is a lot of fun to fly. The VC is as good as any out there and certainly better than any Airbus. Part of my real airline job requires that I brakeride aircraft from remote parking to the gate just about every day. I'm very familiar with how an A320 cockpit should look and sound and Airsimmer has hit that nail on the head. That being said, this aircraft has its' quirks and hopefully Rob will be able to put together a list of tweaks that will help everyone get the most out of this aircraft. At this point, this is the only aircraft keeping FS9 on my computer.
