July 24, 201114 yr Alex Bashkatov, the great programmer ,from the extinguised PSS. He and Lena, two genious. Lena did the best 2d Panels (art work) i have ever seen in FS. Nice , he has joined to PMDG.Interesting eh...!? That's what I thought. They were really doing the best panels out there back when PSS was alive in the days of FS2K and such. Remember their 744, the T7 and then the Airbus series. Oh and even the Dash 8. Back then they were sort of what PMDG is now, at least that's how I felt. Of course there was the DF 737 and others, but yeah the panel artwork was gorgeous... Sorta CGI lookish, but heck it was great. Great to see him still around. Now if Ryan only could extend that list to show what everyone did on the NGX team...!? :( That sure is an extensive list. Really didn't know there were so many working on it.EDIT Oh also seen Matt Kaprocki there!? Wow he's been around for long as well... also over there on the panel & gauge design forum...
July 24, 201114 yr thats the PMDG patented teleportation device, and no its not for sale =)Do you have a releasedate for it? Greetings from the 737 flightdeck!

July 24, 201114 yr You guys might might not be able to sell me an NGX yet but you sure just sold me EZdok ! Heard about it but never seen it in action anything like this. [insert ob OMG-NGX comment here]CheersGary Gary Lowndes
July 24, 201114 yr You want to really get nothing done at work?....Take a bunch of full size screenshots of the AoA videos and make a desktop slide-show so that they flip about every three minutes. Everyone will think you are hard at work, when you're just staring at your desktop. Bob Robert Yunque
July 24, 201114 yr Here's where all of us involved in the NGX are from (some of us are in multiple places depending on the time of year) in the order the flags appear from left to right on the video:United States:Robert S RandazzoVin ScimonePaul GollnickMatt KaprockiPete SterlingRyan MaziarzSouth Africa:Henning van RensburgRussian Federation:Alex BashkatovEU (Brussels):Armen CholakianGreece:Vangelis VaosMichael FrantzeskakisUK:Pete SterlingArmen CholakianGermany:Marc Harrington (who is on hiatus from PMDG becoming a real life airline pilot right now but was involved early in the project)Canada:Jason BrownYou have 14 different people involved. Approximately how many total manhours combined, to bring this to completion, do you think? (don't tell me if you would have to kill me afterward :( )I look at the detail in this NGX and think, everything has to be accurately modeled from every perspective possible, then seamed together, then the systems of a real Boeing 737 (which uses dedicated commercial computers) have to be coded and made to interact in perfect harmony on a home computer which could be using one of several operating systems and many different configerations and software.I believe this NGX should be considered the 8th wonder of the world. Not being a programmer or 3d graphic artist, I just can't imagine the work that has gone into this project.Bob Robert Yunque

July 25, 201114 yr I know what you mean... It appears to me the FS community has more Boeing fans than Airbus fans which would seem to back that up, but that could be because of a lack of passable Airbuses in relation to everything else on the market these days. But as long as there's still airline pilots there will still be sim airline pilots. How about beating that metaphor thoroughly to death?Other addons:NGX: That's really an addon to have LOL. July 25, 201114 yr Now if Ryan only could extend that list to show what everyone did on the NGX team...!? :( That sure is an extensive list. Really didn't know there were so many working on it.I'd be interested to see that too... Most of these developers seem to be three or four man operations That burger will give you an instant triple heart bypass op. :(Haha... Occasionally my mom makes what she actually calls the "Triple Bypass Breakfast" -- eggs, some potatoes, and some chicken fried steak or venison. And my dad's had five heart attacks, triple bypass surgery, multiple angioplasties, and a stint put in... No surprises, at least.
