July 22, 201114 yr Is it just me or is the NLG floating in that walkaround video? Can be seen right at the beginning. Then again it's Beta - plus it might very well be caused by the scenery, maybe a raised ground poly or so. Just caught my eye, don't really think it's inherent to the plane at all. BTW love that dirty DUs - not actually the dirt, I just like how it reflects off the sun based on viewing angle, for me that's the actual cool part.On another note, what is that sound when the APU becomes ready to get connected to buses (ca. 10:20)? And what is the sound once the APU is connected to the buses, I suppose that's the equip cooling fans (ca. 10:40)? But what's that short sound that plays when the APU GEN OFF BUS light illuminates for the first time? It sounds like a sort of fan too, but only lasts for a second or so and then stops immediately. In case anyone has an answer.
July 22, 201114 yr Does look like the perfect way of training flight crew aswell as aircraft mechanics. If you look at both videos (cockpit and walkaround), it eases the comprehension of almost all systems as you can touch/adjust and open almost everything. Looks a bit like the way future Boeing 787 mechanics are being trained in an interactive way by computer screens. Here a quick view of interactive trainingSwayze de Heij

July 22, 201114 yr My reaction was ..................................!!! WOW !!!Cannot wait for the release. I will burn ton's of vFuel... Bad for the vEnviroment, good for my soul...:( :(
July 22, 201114 yr I sat smiling through the entire video, uttering a soft "wow" now and then. I love the fluidity of the animations on the buttons, and the unique clicks they all produce. If anything, this plane has got character. Love it! July 22, 201114 yr Un-freakin' real! Dang, I really can't wait for this! I always wondered what the thumbwheel numbers on the left-side of the yoke were for. I was especially impressed with the hydrolic quantity decrease when devices were in motion. I just blew some coin on a sandybridge rig, somewhat in anticipation of this NGX, now I have to get the AoA videos too, LOL... After 20-some years of MS flight-sim, I really felt like I was in the cockpit of a real 737 for the first time That should speak for itself, PMDG! 'nough said! :( Regards, Al Jordan | KCAE
July 23, 201114 yr [First comment removed by moderator]Secondly my admiration to Nick for making an unscripted video so inspiring and full of useful info 'bout the NGX.Thirdly, well you know who you are, represented by the flags on the aft fuselage of the NGX! Thanks! :( ------------------------ Mattias Nordin ESOW
July 23, 201114 yr Simply stunning, nothing more, nothing less! I cannot think of any thoughts to add here that haven't already been expressed by everyone here, but I will say that the long wait has been worth it. I cannot fathom the amount of time it takes to design the 3d elements, plus adding the textures to those elements. I am especially surprised to see that even the fabric "sheath" on the throttles/start levers is modeled. This is far beyond what anyone would expect to see in a flight sim VC, that and the light reflections on the the glass screens is what makes this add on stand out from all other developer's work, and sets the bar unbelievably high for future products by others and PMDG themselves. I hope the developers realize incredible profit from their endeavors, and a much needed vacation as well, they certainly deserve it! A.J. Domingo
