July 27, 201114 yr I'm simply speechless with this pricing structure! Absolutely amazing deal for such an intricate simulation. I love this hobby, oh and of course PMDG! Dylan Charles "The aircraft G-limits are only there in case there is another flight by that particular airplane. If subsequent flights do not appear likely, there are no G-limits."
July 27, 201114 yr The price is as I was expecting it to be, very fair. Congrats PMDG. People living in South America, like me, has to deal with a dollar higher than our own currency, in my case, each dollar is about 1.60 reais, but there are countries with much bigger difference around here. So please, don't say it's too cheap, and it could've been twice that price, PMDG magnificent products reach the entire global market, not just USA and Euro based countries. Alexis Mefano

July 27, 201114 yr You could always buy the Ariane 737 one for 120 smackers, or better still, 10 Happy meals @ mackersThe Ariane product is also priced unrealistically IMHO. That's why hardly anyone has it. It just seems like the amount of effort to produce one add-on (from a development perspective) and the price are not in line with other software products. I'm certain that Microsoft Flight, a very complex product that has the potential to soon make FSX obsolete, will cost no where near 100 dollars. That's my point.Scott Cooper
July 27, 201114 yr I wonder what the feasibility would be of also offering a stand-alone 600/700 package? Then people could buy just that pair if they wanted.I would be happy with this option, but I can't see them doing that. As someone who's only interested in the 700, I feel a little screwed by the current pricing plan.If I may say this without getting attacked: The way I see it, you are not releasing the 737 series on August 4th. You are releasing half of it. Those of us who are die-hard Southwest fans have to pay the modest 69.99$, wait 4-8 more weeks, and pay another 24.99.$. I had assumed that will all the time it has spent in development, you would be able to release the complete package up front. I guess I was wrong.I'm in the same boat. It's clear now why they didn't talk about what models they were doing long ago, however if they had, there would be a lot less disappointed simmers right now.Scott Cooper

And how many folks are going to buy Flight compared to the NGX? Economy of scale, dude. You're in the wrong hobby. ___________________________________________________________________________________ Zachary Waddell -- Caravan Driver -- Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/zwaddell Avsim ToS Avsim Screenshot Rules
July 27, 201114 yr There is a massive crowd of us FS2004 users who won't use FSX just for this plane. Much money your team wont be making. We will really like for you to make a FS2004 version, otherwise your company will go down. IFLY is better than you anyway. I know how immature PMDG isFunnniest post ever. How old are you? Just curious. And have fun with FS2004 Phil Leaven i5 10600KF, 32 GB 3200 RAM, ASUS 4070 12GB EVO, Asus ROG Z490-H, 2 WD Black NVME for each Win11 (500GB) and MSFS (1TB), Rolling Cache 16GB, Photogrammetry always OFF, Live Weather and Live Traffic always ON, Res 2560x1440 on 27"
July 27, 201114 yr Does base package include short field version?Short field is optional config you can set via FMS.So the answer is YES! There is a massive crowd of us FS2004 users who won't use FSX just for this plane. Much money your team wont be making. We will really like for you to make a FS2004 version, otherwise your company will go down. IFLY is better than you anyway. I know how immature PMDG is. They cannot take criticizm not even on Facebook. Shoot they deleted my postings yesterday. And to the smart aleck from facebook. This aint PS2 nor PS3 we can run FS2004 and its ridiculous to put Computers and gaming consoles in the same category. PMDG would not be downgrading they will be enlarging their cunsumer base if they are smart. If this post is deleted I know this PMDG has gotten so cocky they will disrespect anyone else who sounds off their right to speak. I will be reposteing this in another thread PMDG has no control over. -DoyleWake up boy FS2004 is to old to build a plane like NGX and FS2004 is almost 7 years old! Stop the fs2004 discussion please... Remco
July 27, 201114 yr That's an awful lot of negative assumption there for a product you haven't seen. I've never seen the NGX get down to 10FPS and my system is quite similar to yours. I run with an external FPS limiter at 40 and I usually get that unless we're talking about some of the worst possible situations you can throw at FSX. (which will slow it down even with default airplanes)Our EGPWS has basically no performance hit - I'm not sure where you're getting that assumption from, we went to great lengths to optimize how it reads in the terrain data. The Maddog you mention does not have the best looking or performing VC (one of its only flaws honestly, we're huge fans of it otherwise) - you really do need to see what we've accomplished here with this product for yourself before you deem FS9 and 2D panels "maximum reality" I think...Ryan, can you confirm that the NGX runs smoother than the MD-11?I noticed within Robert's announcement there was no minimum specification required? My FSX MD-11 runs not too bad for me. I also use the FS9 version, how's that for enthusiasm? Dave Taylor
