November 24, 201114 yr Hello Christopher,Thanks for the info.I'm going to decide between "Thrustmaster T-Flight Hotas X" and "Saitek X52 Pro". Besides the price of the T-Flight Hotas X is really good.Patric
November 25, 201114 yr MS force feeback pro and CH pro pedals (very old but good) OK, let´s get this bird moving. Would you please remind me where the throttles are? //^:^\\ Greetings from Sabine Keil

November 25, 201114 yr PLEASE, don't get mad at me!!! This posting is NOT ment to be rude in any way, but I just have to ask. After reading most posts on this forum I have been noticing that people are ready to "kill" PMDG because a light might NOT have the exact color as in real life or something else like this. In this thread we are discussing the best JOYSTICK for the 737!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes a joystick is very realistic in a 737! Again just asking!Jackthe Swede in Spain Jack J Jackson Castalla, Alicante, Spain

November 25, 201114 yr I get this from his post:1. Many complaning about a light colour as not realistic at all compared to RW.2. Many using Joysticks in a Boeing....but no complain about that being realistic or not..... Huuu. That was I got out off it./ Leffe Leif A Mikkelsen **********************
November 25, 201114 yr Sorry that you didn't understand it. The question should be obvious. Why start a post for the best joystick as a 737 doesn't have a joystick if you are looking for realism? I DON'T say that the threadstarter has posted about "lights not beeing in the same color as in real life" it was just an example. Jack J Jackson Castalla, Alicante, Spain
November 25, 201114 yr I use an X65F with Pro combat pedals, I love the pedals and love the twin throttle on the X65F but the pressure sensitive stick is taking a hell of a lot of mastering! Rgds, Shaun

In this thread we are discussing the best JOYSTICK for the 737!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes a joystick is very realistic in a 737! Again just asking!Jackthe Swede in SpainThere is no reality also using a common yoke as the 737 uses a control column... AND, as most of the yokes have no force feedback but only centering spring, a FF joystick, with correct software, is more realistic than a yoke without it...So... Just to not go out of topic, te controller you use is what interface with the simulator, also a keyboard combination or mouse click is not what you do on the real aircraft, same as opening 2d windows (for who uses 2d) but people sometimes cannot buy his home cockpit, and a yoke can be useless on other games, and a yoke could be unreal on a F16, on a piper cub, on an helicopter...So, if you want realism for all the things, just buy a level D full motion simulator, or the real aircraft, without it you will try only to approximate to it.Lights can be tuned by software, yoke cannot be changed to a joy if not replacing phisically it. So, I think they are a bit different. In the Virtual cockpit you will see also te moving replica of a control column, so the interface from whatever you use to move it, to the simulation is perfect.FSX is not a 737PMDG exclusive simulation, the controller connected on te PC will be not the exclusive FSX controller, so, people decide wichever is better for each feeling. For example I think that only force feedback devices, wich are centered by artificial forces, are the only "real feel" devices that must be used on a simulator, they are the only devices able to simulate (generally speaking, not only about 737) a trim system that moves the center of the control column, yoke, joy. Other systems with a fixed center, spring loaded, are fully fictional or usable only on airbus. But, I cannot accuse them of using something wrong, they uses a controller that will work perfectly on the simulator, with the relative positive and relative aspects. If someone ask me for an economical, more close to real controller only for FSX I will try to advice to a Force feedback device, either yoke or joy. They are the same... one is close to the real for a 737, the other for an airbus, one for a cessna, the other for a yak... All things that can be installed on the same sim.If you have money you can buy a joy and a yoke, one for each plane, but, basically, noone you will buy will be the same of the real one!
