August 6, 201114 yr Author There's way too much hair-trigger "read the manual" stuff around here at the moment. Tedious. +1 I'm a R/W pilot and I've never seen it like that, it's ridiculus, and the R/A isn't set to 200' before takeoff, it should be set to 200' by default and returned to that value if a different one was used for the approach procedure. There is nothing in the FCOM about setting it before takeoff. There is far too much trigger fingering to leap at the manuals. Do you propose we sit at the holding point turning and burning for 1hr trying to get the R/A set down 200'?!?!?! In fact, you don't even have to return it to 200', I just checked the FCOM, you only do it out of courtesy for the following pilot. Double Dittos Did you try hitting the reset button before adjusting your minimums. I hit reset then adjust and it always starts at 200. I think the "reset" was the shifting of the mode to Baro Mins. That gave me a reading of 200. I'm simply flying verbatim as I can from Tutorial #1, and yes I have read the introduction in full. However, it's ridiculous to think someone is going to read 3400 pages of blah, blah, blah before they fly this incredible simulation. Dennis Trawick Dennis Trawick Screen Shot Forum Rules
August 6, 201114 yr Commercial Member Guys,We're having trouble reproducing this here. No "clown" decided to set it to 9000 feet - there's some kind of issue going on here. Standby... Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com

"Clown" was meant to be a term of endearment : } I thought it might have been one of R's "surprises". Not a big deal, but something that may be looked at later, like tomorrow ::)) BTW, I really thought the landing sequence on Facebook was very creative. Oh ... what are the defaults on the Radio Mins supposed to be? Dennis Trawick Screen Shot Forum Rules

Dennis Trawick No, reset does not go from Baro to Radio you must manually turn the outer knob to do that. I've just always been in the habit of doing that since flying the IFLY. Sean Sean Green
August 6, 201114 yr Had the same problem in the tutorial flight. Just tried my own flight, and tried to set the radio alt as I ascended - no problem, it defaulted to 100. Wonder if it varies depending on the stage you are at. I seem to think I was descending at about 8000 when I clicked on the RA, and got 8000 (and a week's worth of wheel-turning to get it to 100) - maybe there is a link here? Paul Skol

Sean Thanks. Strange problem, indeed. I think they are working on it. Can you imagine the kind of day(s) PMDG is(are) having? Dennis Trawick Dennis Trawick Screen Shot Forum Rules
August 6, 201114 yr I have only seen this when loading a panel state. I had hoped to leave the airplane, save the panel state, so when I return to it, it is exactly as I left it, not always the same cold and dark. This would be the radios, the altimeters, the course, all that stuff. It is when I load that state, or loaded a flight in mid flight (after a CTD, utilizing an autosave created by FSUIPC) did I see the 9000+ minimums. Load the cold and dark state, and everything is as it should Scott Kalin VATSIM #1125397 - KPSP Palm Springs International AirportSpace Shuttle (SSMS2007) http://www.space-shu....com/index.htmlOrbiter 2010P1 http://orbit.medphys.ucl.ac.uk/

August 7, 201114 yr MIne defaults to 9,000 after the sim starts and while at the gate when setting up the aircraft. I always set the baro and radio altimeert to 200' before departing but after setting the radio altimeter down once I just forget about it now...waaaay too much hassle. I have setup the panel state to use the PMDG "long turn state" every time. Haven't tried any others yet. i7 3770K HT, 8GB RAM, nVidia 980GTX, Win7, P3D 3.4, FSG mesh, UTX, GEX, ST, ASA16/ASCA, NickN optimized
August 13, 201114 yr Does the HOTFIX resolve this issue - anyone?Think about it - most certainly not. They're really concerned about getting the nasty freezes covered before they get to the minor issues (of which there are a number, no question). But they really shall get everyone up in the air without freezing first.
