Please, don't go into grammar thing, English is not my first language. What I meant was a lot of people using their sceneries have this problem. Quite a few used the word "plagued" so that's why I used this word. Again, what I find really unjust is the fact they are calling me disgusting, accusing me of personal crusade,.. in a closed thread where I can't defend myself. And that comming from respected people at ORBX. That's just wrong.

Maybe a private talking to or a time out, but permanent banning seems heavy-handed and unnecessary. If you need customer service, how are you supposed to contact them?
Sorry, I was temporary banned. But the ban is not my problem, read what I wrote before.

Now that I can unequivocally agree with. Allowing or continuing to allow a discussion about anyone who's been banned from a forum is just plain bad form, irrespective of the circumstances or who may have been at fault......if in fact this has been occurring. After a through search of all of their public forums, I've seen no trace of such behavior coming from anyone... Well, seems Orbx do not want to know. Have locked any threads regarding it, and I doubt you could mention G3D error without getting 50 lashes..

I love Orbx FTX scenery. It truly is a great addon and generally with great people backing it up.Every now and again though, there is distinct case of a "It's my ball and I'm taking it home" attitude that comes in on the forums.

That is the line isn't it? Still I installed all my scenery per their recommendations. Why is it always the user's' fault when something goes wrong? Also, I've just now installed the recommended fsuipc fix, I'll get into testing.

I read that and winced. However, one comment does not constitute a continuing series of discussions taking place without your ability to defend. Based on your original post in this thread, I was expecting to see one or more threads where folks were gleefully making sport of your banishment and/or comment(s).This has not happened, or at least not in any of the public forums. I was rather shocked at the nastiness of that closing comment though. It was entirely out of line, IMHO.

This one was also closed because of me (personal attacks, they said): http://www.orbxsyste...by-pete-dowson/Can you explain.. why? Since I can't comment anymore. Doesn't make any sense.Again, I was hurt by harsh and unjust comments coming from the people I respected.

Long time ago, I too was on the receiving end of some odd and VERY defensive responses from that forum. When I asked why they responded that way, the whole thread was removed (and I wasn't even the OP).Although I have, and very much like their stuff, I avoid the forum these days. Not been there in a long time.

Windows 10 (x64) - X-Plane 11 - M/B: Asus ROG Maximus IX Hero - CPU: i7 7700k (@5.0GHz) - RAM: 32Gb Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 @ 3200MHz - Video: GTX1080ti - Cooling: Custom water loop (EK 140 Revo D5 pump/res combo, EK EVO CPU block, EK XE360 Rad)

As a happy ORBX customer, I have noticed that they seem to be sensitive to the gd3.dll accusations and especially to open conjecture without a specific support issue with provided data, I found this when I searched the various FSX forums for info about gd3.dll when I was getting problems. So I think they are defensive about it to start with and the thread referenced here seemed to be an example of the type of general conjecture discussion that sets off the defensiveness (i.e. no specific issue with specific data) and it deteriorated as the discussion went on.Sad to see the defensiveness and the results as it's a great forum otherwise, but I think the best thing to keep in mind on that forum is that it's a great place for FSX and ORBX related discussion and support but at the end of the day it is still a company forum and not a general FSX community forum, know that they are defensive about accusations of problems caused by their product that cannot be explained or troubleshot specifically, so best to avoid discussion or conjecture.Oddly enough I had gd3.dll problems with FSX + ORBX + a bunch of other FSX addons, and I recently rebuilt my OS and reinstalled FSX + ORBX + the same addons and I no longer get the gd3.dll problems in the KSEA area, so I think there is something not ORBX to the issue, then again who knows... good to know FSUIPC may help if the problems ever return, I think that was the point of that original thread before it deteriorated. Cheers to FSUIPC.

Seems to me orbx has developed an elitist attitude when it comes to their product and the problems they refuse to acknowledge it may cause within FSX. Its as if their scared if it is confirmed their scenery causes the gd3 error that it will affect their deals with other commercial entities. They should use caution as the ladder of success also goes back down

It is all about attitude. If a developer has a problem with their product most will fix it (not all). ORBX is one that will fix their issues. But, the fact that many users have issues when ORBX product are on their home sytems (which by all accounts is not "ORBX's fault") seems to have made them turn a somewhat deaf ear to the issue. Most well healed and prominent developers should herald Pete's contribution as a potential great success. ORBX, seemingly not, and, unfortunately not surprising to me based on the attitudes that have seemed to change in the last 12 to 18 months.I used to buy what ever they released. Now, I am mostly sticking to a few down under airports, and have gone as far as making the whole NA sceneries a seldom used set of add ons. I reset Van+, Vic+ etc to just be used with UTX, and don't even switch when flying in the other areas (NRM, CRM, etc). The risk of a CTD is 3 - 4 times higher in ORBX NA areas, by my account on my system.I probably would be one to wait to what others say about Pete's fix and the ORBX North America sceneries, rather than risk the whole frustration of frequent CTDs.
